Q:
Guards Burning vs Ele Burning
Anet wont reply directly first off.
As for a realsitic explanation, well I don’t totally agree. My ele can stack burning pretty high and keep it for longer than my guardian can.
Also remember Guardians are masters of the holy flame as much as eles are of the natural flame, so it does make sense if this is what you are finding
I am just trying to see if I can get a realistic explanation by arena net without coming across as condescending, but why can a guardian apply burning better than an elementalist which is supposed to have the magic to control elements and has studied the arcane?
Are we talking Mechanically or Thematically in lore?
The answer to both is that they don’t…. Eles have access to a lot of burn traits, and several direct burning skills that most people don’t use because they build for direct damage instead.
But guardians are no slouch, as they get 1 passive burning mechanic that they can compound with traits, along side a 1 direct burning skill and a hand full of conditional burning skills. The impact on Guards only look bigger because they can rotate it faster, while Eles had more focus on duration to support their attunement rotations.
Never really thought about them as masters of any flame before…hmm. I would still like a few more responses or an official A net response before I say my question is fully answered though.

Good luck with that. As stated, Anet is not going to answer you directly, nor are you entitled to an answer.
Burning is the only damaging condition Guardians have access to without sigils or runes counting in, so they had better be the best of the best at that one condition.
