I’m gonna start out by saying that guesting needs work. We can now see what another server is like, and we can join friends for a while in exploring. That’s all fine and dandy. I am having an issue with those guesting for dragons and other events. It makes the people on the server, the permanently based players, unable to join areas because it pushes them to overflows. I was connected to Blazeridge Steppes, to fight the Shatterer, and I lost connection. I joined back in to find myself in overflow. I tried to join back in off of guild members and party members to no avail, and by the time I got back in the fight was over and I gained nothing. Guesting is a great thing, but it needs to be fixed. I would say make it push other server members, not permanently based players, to the over flows when a layer from the server wants to join. That way players do not get cheated of loot like I was. I hate to complain like this but this has happened to me on multiple occasions, and not just because of connection problems, and I would like it fixed.

I totally agree. Why should i as a dedicated server member be overflowed for content i prepared and waited for on my own server, when the guesting system makes it non viable for me and many others to experience content on our own servers due to client instability from over population of guests. I personally feel guesting is broken though i do acknowledge its need. I feel that guesting should be conducted on its own server away from the dedicated server list. I would appreciate a moderators input on said matter. All it is currently doing is making those who don’t guest feel neglected and second in preference on the servers they play on.

You do realize that that is the whole point of guesting, to be able to join in with friends on their server, not some “guesting dedicated” server.

All I hear from your post is that you saw the timer for a world boss end, and you want to kick out a guest so that you can get into the zone because you want to get your free rares. But then again, I’m not a mod so my opinion doesn’t matter I guess.

God I am so sick of being shoved to overflow while a bunch of people from foreign servers take my spot.

Yes i am well aware of the purpose of guesting Jrunyon, but let me explain my recent experience. I was already in the Zone for 4 hours prior to a world event, i waited 30min at the spawn location….huge influx of population and demand made the area unstable….my client crashed just before the event….relogged…overflow…..frustration. Not the first time. If they were true friends they would all be on the same server in the first place. the system as it is now is like inviting some friends over to a party, they bring some friends, then some strangers and then they have the nerve to tell you to leave your own party. Guesting should not make dedicated players on their own server play second fiddle to a bunch of gatecrashers.
