Guesting to other servers?
Either they made a change or the system is broken. When entering a dungon instances owned by someone else on a different server you use up one of your guest passes.

I never knew that. But now I do.
Thanks!

I’m pretty sure that’s not true.
That’s not how it works. Each day (reset to reset), you are allowed to guest to two(2) different servers….as many times as you like. But only those two. Once reset happens, you may then choose 2 different servers to guest to, or the same 2, or a combination.
There is no timer started the moment you enter a server, nor a time-limit on how long you can be there.
It doesn’t go reset until reset. It goes for 24 hours after it’s been activated. No matter what time you used it at. 8 in the morning, 10 at night, 1:35 in the afternoon. It doesn’t turn off until whatever time you established it.
And my one guest pass is gone now but still it was weird because the Dragon Brand one should have left a while ago.

It’s not true. I’ve entered a dungeon on far more than two servers in one 24 hour segment than I have guest passes.
Thats how it is working right now I dont know if its broken or working as intended this was a new change. Test it your self if you don’t believe me.
I know that it isn’t working like that, and never has.
As they said, that’s how it is working right now. When you enter a dungeon instance owned by someone else on another server, you use a guest pass, it’s a bug and Anet is looking into it.

Oh, and if you try to enter to a dungeon where you don’t lead or the host is not on your server, without any guest passes, game will crash.
Then it’s a bug and not originally intended
Wow it does bug out on dungeons. It just used a guest pass on me to Henge Of Denravi for when I did SE an hour ago. Now I have to wait an hour for Dragonbrand to get off so I can guest to Tarnished Coast…
It’s almost like the guest passes have been reversed because each time I guest from the login screen, the guest pass deactivates whenever I go back to character select, but it sets up for 24 hour pass whenever I do a dungeon on a guest server.
with this bug , people can mine the static orichalcum node at southsun on 24 servers via guesting.. that is 72 orichalcum ore per character… just for that one node… and on that node only
imagine if you have 8 characters farming that node alone…..
Archeage = Farmville with PK

Nope .. you can only harvest it 3 or 4 times, whatever the total number of nodes in that zone is.
Best MMOs are the ones that never make it. Therefore Stargate Online wins.

have you tried guesting and farm that one node at the Karka Champ ? i was referring to THAT ONE node and that node only, not the other randomly located nodes on the island

Not personally but a person in another forum tested it.
The thing is that Ori Nodes work as placeholder for each other in a zone, so you can harvest whatever node you want on whatever server you want but only up to the maximum number that exist in that zone.
