Just wondering if it is normal for the guild bank history to have users listed as “unkown”.

I recently shut down my guild and was planning to return everyone’s items but someone had emptied it out. I have no issue with losing the gold and items but I am curious as to why the history tab has “unknown” users.

Is it because they are no longer in the guild so it won’t say their name? Or is it because I am blocked?

It’s because they left the guild so the guild doesn’t know who it was (not a guild member). You would have to check who left when to puzzle it out. Presumably the person who took stuff left the guild immediately afterwards. Could have been more than one person though.

If the member in the log left the guild it turns into unknown

Wouldn’t it be helpful if the guild bank could remember account names after those players have left the guild? It seems like this would be a good way to identify scammers who join guilds just to clean them out.

It sounds good in theory but idk. I mean, it could start getting alot of people in trouble through name shaming, targeting, misunderstandings, and so on.

I just have to be much more careful when it comes to giving strangers permissions. You think you know someone, then bam, they clean you out haha.

It would be helpful, but you can still usually identity people who clean out the guild bank then leave by checking the roster history to see who left at that time. Most people are going to leave immediately after so unless you have more than one leave, who left then is that person.

Perhaps that character doesn’t exist anymore, so the game doesn’t say? (Your character is Meekzie, and that’s the name that shows, so I wonder what it does with deleted characters. “Unknown User”?)

Just the same, it seems like it should maintain some link to the account of the user who took the items.
