Guild Wars 2

Hello Anet, I don’t know if you remember, but in GW1 we had those awesome GUILD HALL.

So my question is:

Are you going to set them someday ? YES or NO.

Because honestly, what is guild wars if we can’t battle with other guild like 10 people from the red guild vs 10 of the blue one ?Plus, we had the chance back in time to do a sort of duel like 1 vs 1 or 2 vs 2 in the guild hall just for practice so it would be nice if you bring back that awesome feature again!

The server change announced should help guilds stick together a bit more (at least guilds that have members on multiple servers), but guild halls would do much, much more to help guilds feel more like the communities they were designed to be.

I, personally, would really like to see this happen.

Been asking for this since release…. I come from GW1 so for some reason I was certain that GW2 would also have GvG and guild halls.
I don’t think they care else we would have them already. I mean designing small arena type halls with deathmatch style GvG isn’t supposed to take years to do.

Not sure how you meant this, but that would be a good thing for the general maps. AFK in the guild hall doesn’t hurt anything, AFK in general maps (the logical alternative if this statement is true) hurts others by taking up a slot if that map goes to overflow. Granted, overflow will be a thing of the past soon, but the AFKer still takes up a potentially needed slot in heavily populated servers.

That’s because they can’t put Guild Halls in the Gem Store.

Guild halls and personal housing was suppose to be in this game on release, then they said soon after, now they say some day, hopefully soon. I was hoping for it in this feature pack release but didn’t happen. This most likely will not happen till an expansion come out.

They also stated in the future there will be guild halls as well as player housing so sit tight patience is a virtue.

Well I guess you can sort off have a GvG with the custom arena feature in PvP, you just have to organise it with an opposing Guild.

Well it doesnt help that GW1 had a major push on guilds and guild halls and guild battles, so they kinda did it to themselves on this. Because the Guild Wars were not made a huge focal point in the game, people could only come to the conclusion that it was in reference to guilds and guild battles. Admittedly that is what I thought too untilli decided to read more into the lore, but you cant expect everyone to do that.

Yup. Also, the new ‘megaserver’ change will be balancing population anyways, so even if you did have a ton of people sitting in their guild halls, you would still have full, active towns.

colin johanson has already said that he wants to do guild halls and dueling, he never actually mentioned gvg o.0 he just said he wants to do something big with it and not just waste it by placing some cheap feature in the game, he said it in an interview ill try and find the link
