Guild Wars 2

I’m sure there’s been a post like this before but I just felt the need to say it again.
I absolutely loved Guild Halls in GW1, so why were they taken away in GW2? I would really love to see a place for guilds to hang out outside of just lurking around Divinity’s Reach. Of course, I’m thinking of RP and Social guilds more than PvX guilds which I’m not sure need guild halls, but still, it’s certainly a nice thing to have.
Another thing is player-owned housing. I’m a stickler for customization, and having your own house that you can build and customize would just be awesome. I know there is limited customization on the “home instances” but since those are set and everyone has the same one in the same spot, it doesn’t really feel like a house, also since no one can see while you’re in there. If housing were to be added, I think a good way would be in the form of a housing district on the Zaishen Isles perhaps? This was the location of the GW1 Guild halls. I know it would take a lot of work but I definitely think more players would come to or return to the game if even one of these things were added.

Guild Halls are a must have for GUILD Wars. They were great in gw1. If we could have guild halls we could upgrade then it would be a social hub for many guilds.

Not sure I can agree with your housing concept. A housing district where people can see you in YOUR home instance? That would require every player to have access to a house. Think how many players . . . . . There would need to be thousands of Tyria over and over to fit them all in with the Megaservers in place.

Hopefully they realize that separate guild instances do nothing but break people up and make large towns irrelevant. My vote would be for nothing at all, at worst have them with no amenities. Guild chat, message boards and some improvements to the guild system are more than enough to arrange guild stuff.

There was a CDI on guild halls so we won’t have it. For housing, “it’s not off the table”.

Almost certain this is one of the reasons why they haven’t been implemented yet.

And you could have an Alliance with other Guilds, and go to their Guild Halls.

What’s the difference?

If you consider an Alliance the same as being a member of a Guild none personally I don’t see them as even close good thing we don’t need to agree

Why does belonging in multiple guilds make guild halls pointless?

“Not off the table”? We’ll all be in our cold, cold graves before any of this happens.
