Hello Anet! I am enjoying living world season 3, and am diving into guild hall decorating. With the changing of the seasons, and the addition of some amazing guild hall seasonal decorations, a thought occurred to me.

What if certain ranks in the guild, such as ones that can clear all decorations, could save and load guild hall builds. In other words what if you could save an instance of your guild hall, how all decorations are currently placed, and if you clear all decorations, your template could be saved for later.

The implications of this could be far and wide. For instance, our guild have made a jumping puzzle that goes to the top of the gilded hollow, which means that any other jumping puzzle is invalidated with gliding, sadly.

Or perhaps even having certain templates for certain holidays, wintersday coming up, or halloween. We had some pretty impressive halloween decor this year

Also perhaps birthday templates, this one is a bit more specific, but what if a guildy had a bday coming up and you wanted to design something very elaborate for them entirely in secret, but change the entire guild hall. With templates you could save your default guild hall’s template, then switch to the bday one, and when you’re done, switch back.

I understand this may have some difficulty being implemented, but also what if you could share those templates with a code? (this part would get tricky) If you had all the decorations a template required, you could find a code online and load it in. So if you made a jumping puzzle that you wanted to share with the world, you could do so. This last part again would be more difficult than the rest, but I think templates at all would be well worth it.

I really hope that you are having a great night and a great life! ~Fawstah

City of Heroes had a code system but it was one-way; save not load (at least not online anyway). Entirely possible that data is stored in a similar fashion here for Guild Halls regarding object position and orientation (maybe less data since GHs are all pre-fabs).

Definitely have to have some safeguard against Guild Hall loading spam and some kind of error system for missing objects if you load someone else’s code.
