So if my guild doesn’t have HoT, we won’t have a guild hall, right? Will guild missions need to be started from a building within the guild hall, or does the guild UI panel still exist?

I am confused, anet mentioned “Emphasize Community and Fellowship”. So, which part of “Require HoT” is related to that, it is literally dividing people who bought HoT and people who don’t.

It sounds like you are arguing semantics and sarcastically pretending not to know about how or why MMOs implement xpac content so that you can ignite a certain debate that has been done to death

… but if you’re not, my mistake, and I will try to help. When an MMO expands, it is tacitly understood that we are taking this direction for further development not only to justify the expense but to further flesh out the new stories teased and uncover previously undiscovered layers of new content that they have been able to provide. That’s not a bad thing. If I buy it, then a month later they start some Living Story, I will be happier to see it continue on the frontier rather than, I don’t know, Queensdale. Like, in the core game, I loved the tower of nightmares radically changing Kessex Hills, and after HoT drops, if there is something like that to happen again, I would love to see in it a new zone… Or at least Dry Top would be cool too; as long as we move forward.

However, Anet can always surprise you with where something may pop up, and they love the core world, so there will be plenty of new content for people who don’t buy, but you have to expect that some features will be xpac only like Guild Halls, especially since now we know they play into the story.

from what I understand the people who do not get HoT will still be able to do what can be done now. All current guild missions, banking, boosts etc can be accessed in Lions Arch. Guild Halls themselves are in the new zone so only those with the expac can get to them.

I guess you are not a big fan of guild which is why you can’t see my concerns.

But they can’t utilize the arena, right? I think the biggest feature of guild hall is that arena, I guess many guilds will stick to OS and PvP arena for first couple of months.

If you don’t buy it no, you can’t use the facilities that are available if you buy it.
