Guild Member Notes Please!

As a leader of an active, larger guild, I’m super happy that we finally got a “last online” feature with the guild UI. This eliminated a painstaking system of rank tagging all members as “Inactive” every month, then returning them to “Member” status as we saw these people online. We would then prune the inactive people after 1-2 months.
This was critical to maintain our roster bloat. Now we simply trim those who haven’t logged in after a set amount of time, after sending them mail (For when they return), instructing them to contact us to be reinvited. The 2 mail time limit is pretty annoying, but it’s so much easier now, so thank you Anet!
So if you look at the guild panel on the main tab, there is a nice empty area, which would be perfect for a 6th column. If we could get a spot there for editable member notes, this would be a dream come true. Other MMOs have had this functionality for over 10 years, and it’s even more important in GW2, because offline members are shown only by their account names.
For members with 5+ characters on their account, this can be very confusing for anyone in the guild. With the recent $10 GW2 sale, a LOT of people bought multiple alt accounts. This only adds to the confusion.
Our wonderful guild co-leader recently created a massive spreadsheet with every person in the guild roster, which includes a column for notes. She edits this for our benefit, so we can actually have a grasp on alt accounts, character names on accounts, notes for warnings or praise, friend connections, etc.
It’s another painstaking system that was put in place to adapt to the lack of a basic functionality that should exist directly in the guild UI. I understand that new playable content is important, but for many of us who have played for a long time, we’re more interested in QoL fixes such as this. QoL is part of the very core of a game.
You can build a beautiful house, paint it, trim it out in walnut, add a room addition, install a bar in the basement with 30 craft beers on tap, including the always-delicious Lagunitas Hop Stoopid, but if the house is on a weak foundation, it will crack all over, and your friends will notice, even if you add a jacuzzi with a train that delivers drinks or a 360-degree-view octagonal cupola with an elevator.
