Mission Slot PVE: How hard are these? We only have 3 players in the guild. Can we do these?

War Room Missions:
Again with only 3 (maybe 4 players) which are the best to do for a small group?

PVP Slot:
Who do you play? Inter- Guild? If not can we pick a particular guild to battle?

What good is becoming a scribe? I see that it is crafting, but why would I want to buy that?

thanks

In terms of PvE missions, three people can manage at least an easy bounty, an easy race, and an easy and medium trek. If there are other guilds doing the races when you arrive you can do any of them. Puzzles and challenges, sadly no you won’t be able to do.

Bounty & Race can be activated while another guild is running them so you can combine your efforts with theirs and get the mission completed.

Treks can be done by just 3 if you have map completion and a good guide like the dulfy.net one.

Puzzles, that might be tough since some have mechanics that require at least 5.

Challenges, probably not but you van invite people in I believe to have them assist.

War Room Missions:
Again with only 3 (maybe 4 players) which are the best to do for a small group?

50% of these, yes since a 3 man is a pretty good size for a lot of these. Some of the ones listed as hard probably not since you may need 2 groups running at one time.

PVP Slot:
Who do you play? Inter- Guild? If not can we pick a particular guild to battle?

You activate these in the ranked and unranked arenas so the team is random and you will have additional people added to your group to meet the min 5 player group size.
You simply define a team under your guild tab. Activate the mission and then when you queue the group you will be challenged to run the game as the guild team defined, select that and off and away you go. There is no price for failure so you can always activate to test and then abandon or give it a try.

What good is becoming a scribe? I see that it is crafting, but why would I want to buy that?

If you are just a 3 man, not sure I would recommend scribing unless someone has a lot of gold and or abundance of materials.

thanks

Hope that helps. Good gaming!

Great reply TheGrimm, Game us a direction to move toward.

What are two of the easiest WvW War Room Missions I should buy?

Not sure what you are referring to about buying. Depending on how you have your mission preferences setup each week the server will assign random missions to your guild which may vary guild to guild. You can set it to be random or only give you PvP/PvE/WvW missions as a preference, but the type will be random within those groupings. I would recommend leaving the default to no preference since you earn and extra 10% favor if you go that route and complete the mission. You can unlock additional potential missions by leveling your guild and if I remember correctly there is a lock symbol and the requirements to unlock that spot in the guild mission page. For example there was an additional PvP mission at one level, a WvW at another.

Will check back to see if that clears up the question. Good gaming!

PvE missions:
Generally you’ll want 6 people for puzzles due to switch and lever mechanics (though you can do proxemics lab with 3) and challenges (though you can do skritt and shatter crystals with 3)

You can easily pull off easy/med treks with 3

You can easily pull off any race with 3 (though you’ll have to get good at it for the harder time limits, or try and pile on with another guild doing it at the same time.

You can probably do single target bounties with 3, and 3 target bounties if you sacrifice a goat to rngesus to find them quickly and roll bounties you’re good at killing fast.

PvP:
You can pretty easily do all of those with 3, although some will take multiple tries due to que times or bad matchmaking with your random teammates

WvW:
You can do these with 3 as you just have to have the mission started and 3 people present. You can be with the zerg to do them, or if you’re particularly enterprising focs less populated maps (I like the wvw missions because of how they keep maps a bit more populated this way)

Also, you’ll find yourself capped on favor pretty fast, and from there you might want to actually intentionally fail treks and races, only doing them for the personal credit after one run/click point, and saving the favor credit for later in the week after you do an upgrade to dump favor.

The same thread can be used to determine which missions are “trio-able” too. Click on the posters name to see previous posts and you can get an idea of the offerings.

To save you some time, read Pope Urban’s thread above and I urge you to try out most of the easy|medium missions, with the exception of challenges.

The “Mission Slot PVE” upgrade gives missions with random difficulty.

Puzzles and challenges can also be done with other guilds but that requires a bit more setup than before they became instances.
