Guild Wars 2

When I bought this game, i did my research and youtubing, expecting this and that from WvWvW and sPvP. As of now WvWvW seems to be a little imbalance with no real goals within the battlegrounds. And I’m not a big fan of sPVP since it’s just capturing areas and getting points. If i wanted something like that I’d go and play COD domination or something. What I was really looking for (thought it was included in the game as default) was some good ole traditional Dueling system and especially GVG. I want to do GVGs mostly tho. I want to know who’s the best in their server or in the game. Is there a reason why there isn’t any GvGs? (And no i never played GW1). OFc I know it will create internal conflicts within WvWvW but that can be a whole new challenge in itself to being a top notched server.

I miss GvG from GW too. Hopefully they will add it in to GW2 in some way shape or form.

At the momment I am not super fond of SPvP. Don’t get me wrong, its a ton of fun to play, my issue with it is that it is its own seperat game. There is no corssover between the PVE/WvW and SPvP at the momment.

The game is young still. I am expecting that they will add in more maps and gametypes to SPvP.

in sPVP it goes 50/50 when it comes to losing or winning tbh. I only go there to duel my guildmates or we decide to work on our organization. We don’t care much about capturing this and that. It’s all about the killing and the in your face field battle. It’d be normal session for us to lose a game with 10-15 kills and 2-3 deaths each.

I’ve got allot of hopes for GW2 sPvP becoming something big we do require some patience though.

Didnt read anything about GvG in that link (am I wrong?) The game is called Guild WARS and the war option has been removed. Which kind of surprised me, as I thought it was core to GW1.

Also, that article brings the paid Arena as THE feature that needs to be in Guild Wars. I doubt there will be major interest as sPVP lacks goals that can improve your character or guild.

THE feature to bring (back) is Guild Halls and Guild Wars to defend them. And while your at it. Have instances where you fight to own the cities. It doesn’t have to give much benefit, just have the guild flag in the city would be cool.

The name Guild Wars has to do with the lore, not with the PvP. I am not saying that you should not ask for GvG, but I see a lot of people using this argument while it is lore related. I think there are better arguments to motivate them to implement it, for example that it was a lot of fun in GW1 (though I never joined that part of the gameplay myself, just an example).
