Guild Wars 1 not on sale
perhaps they will be on sale during steam xmas sales 2013?
Ok, yes I know this isn’t a Guild Wars 1 forum but I felt as though it wouldn’t get much attention anywhere else.
I was hoping to grab Guild Wars in this years Steam summer sale but was a bit disappointed to see it hasn’t been discounted when almost ever other game has been discounted and the ones that aren’t are new releases. However don’t get me wrong, I’m sure Guild Wars is a fantastic game and believe its still worth for the price it was released at but for a player like me that’s already emotionally invested in Guild Wars 2 the only reason I’d want to play is to learn about some of the lore, explore areas not available in Guild Wars 2 yet, revisit the ones that are there now and pick up some Hall Of Monument points along the way.
It would be nice of them to have a sale at some point, but the games have already been age discounted; they didn’t release at $20-30, they were $50-60 each on release, excluding EotN.
Cyrus Quintillus | 80 Mesmer | Asbrandr Godrikson | 80 Warrior
Fort Aspenwood [FLOT]
Prophecies and EotN are effectively $15 each with the Platinum edition. That is a very reasonable price even without any discounts. That is enough to get to around 43 or 46 out of 50 points.
For all 50 points it wold cost $50, so basically getting everything now only cost as much as one of the campaigns.
They need to drop the prices on GW1. I know quite a few people who would pick up GW1 if they could get all 4 games for ~$20, or like $10 per, but itll never happen at the current prices. Im sure there are a lot of GW2 players who would do the same… maybe a discount if you own GW2?
Of course its probably more to do with NCSoft than ANet.
Edit: This is really more in general. I dont see Valve touching the prices with sales any time soon, but Id gladly eat my own words.
