Ever since the new patch release of April 15th 2014, I have not been able to find where the “Charm, Honorable, and Brute.” Meter type icons went.

Were they removed in this patch? Because I’ve been working on personal story on one of my alternate characters and still am able to pick options within personal story that gain or boost one of said personality things for my characters.

I checked the wiki today and also found in the edit section that its possible that they were “removed.”

The ‘meter’ was removed from the UI. It seems the implementation of the Personality traits are still in-game. Perhaps, the ‘meter’ will re-appear. Perhaps, not.

The consensus is they removed it because we the players are too stupid to tell the difference between Ferocity the personality and Ferocity the new combat stat.

Yet the buff called Ferocity still exists in that 1 pvp map so I wonder…….

That’s a shame You’d think they would maybe change the name or something and add the meter back into the current UI or just remove the personality part from your character creation/personal story all together.

Personally I think it was overlooked. Then again the only time I’ve seen personality choices is one heart event with ettins and the priests in DR.

Maybe they intended it would affect more interactions with NPCs but gave up on that notion.

It was almost certainly removed due to its redundancy in the game, It served no useful or functional role and was likely something they wanted to develop further, but never really got round to prioritising it.

There are (were?) a few points in personal story where having a certain personality type enables special dialogue options and choices (one example I remember being Confronting Captain Tervelan, where with Brute personality I had the option to kill him. The choice is not documented on the wiki, though, and I’m not sure if it’s possible to pick now after the patch.). I do miss seeing the personality icon there on the menu.

I don’t believe that explanation. Because, if it was true, ANET could have always called Ferocity something else.

It was still on the first page, so it’s not too big of a bump, really.
And when did I specifically say “search feature”?
You do realize that you can search by pressing the page numbers that show on the screen right?
If I cared to look, I could probably go 1-4 pages back and find a handful of these same threads.

It’s really simple, actually.

Edit: Also, fun fact, I just used the search feature and it worked perfectly.
So it literally takes no effort other than typing a couple words.
