Good evening everyone.

I have a little gripe with the new Heroic Edition that was released. The upgrades in it are relatively lovely, however none of them were included in the CE pack. In addition, I noticed that the Deluxe Edition has also had these items added to it, yet the price (as far as I’m aware at least) hasn’t changed for it.

Now, perhaps I’m acting a little too entitled here but surely the players that splashed £130 on this game should have access to those too?

Feel free to leave your thoughts about this. If an ArenaNet staff member could find the time to explain why this is the way it is, I’d appreciate it.

Before I close this post out, I simply want to clarify one thing: I’m not begging or demanding anything in this post. I simply want to know why these items weren’t included in the digital side of the CE. Also, I tried searching for this or something similar but came up empty.

Nope. Your reward has been playing for as long as you have. I wouldn’t trade a year of playing this game for a few experience boosters and a suit of armor from the cash shop.

Think of how far behind in money the people starting now are. They’ve got a long, long road to get anywhere near me. So they get a couple of extra perks. Good for them. If it encourages someone to buy the game and play it…that’s good for me, not bad for me.

Different promotions = different goodies. Happens in real life all the time…

You open a checking account with bank ‘A’ in august, you get a free toaster; however, had you waited until Sept you would have gotten a free microwave instead.

Ok, so maybe a microwave might be pushing it, but I’ve seen some give away some really nice Pyrex dishware and pan sets, but you get my point. It’s a marketing ploy to get those that haven’t made the purchase to do so. Nothing more, nothing less. Unless you’re willing to purchase another account, don’t plan on getting it, and that’s how it should be.
