Hi,

Two friends and I will be getting into Guild Wars 2, we will eventually get into WvW but we don’t care at all for it right now. What are the most active servers for PVE North America?

I’ve played on a really dead server, Anvil Rock? So what are the most active PVE servers?

The most active are those who have higher rank in wvw, the more populated the server is the stronger it is in wvw. So the best servers are Blackgate, Tarnished Coast, Jade Quarry, Dragonbrand…

I think only half of the NA server have a healthy population, the rest are pretty empty.

But next week ANet will release the new megaserver, which is kinda of a server merging but without eliminating the servers, they will start with the lower population maps and expand to the rest of the maps. So being in a small or big server wont make much difference for pve.

True for the most part, but not always.

Example: Yak’s Bend is higher ranked in WvW than Sanctum of Rall is, but SOR open world PvE population greatly outnumbers Yak’s Bend.

To OP.

Don’t care too much about this. Anet’s rolling out megaservers that will make this eventually irrelevant as it will merge people together regardless of home world.

Decide based on WvW.

If you intend to make a bigger impact, join the low-rank servers. If you intend to ride on the coattails of others, join the high-rank servers. If you want to learn from a few others then make an impact of your own, join a medium-rank server.

Anet will take care of PvE.

This, if you want to play WvW any server that is not totally at the bottom of the ranks will do. If you need to be on the winning side then you will be in queue more often than not unless you play off-peak time.

Yak’s Bend is my favorite server to guest to for PvE.

If you want to maximize the efficiency of your farming the super stacked servers aren’t the best choice.

I’m on JQ and the queues are really only a problem on reset night.
