Guild Wars 2 the new great MMORPG with a completely new awesome combat system. I will certainly agree to this statement. The combat system is awesome, but some other (big) things aren’t.
PVE
To get good gear from PVE, you kinda have to do only one dungeon over and over again. This is because you want gear of only the same kind, since you want the set bonuses to be the same. This mean just farming and gets boring after a couple of runs. It should instead have been more encouraged to do different dungeons. It’s pretty easy to change this by only having one kind of token instead of like eight different. The PVE itselfves is new and different from other MMORPGs, but pretty nice. Except some stun/knockdown chains I like it quite a bit.
WvW
I love just love the WvW, Anet made it like perfect. Also the new combat system functions even better than I expected before the game was released. There is only one problem … You can’ t get in. Especially at the evenings the queue times for WvW ARE INSANE. Even on the less crowded server I’m playing on, the queuetimes are over three hours.
SPvP
Meanwhile you are queued for WvW you are able to play SPvP. This is a good idea, though you can only play the character you are queued with in SPvP. I mean you can’t play your alternative while being queued for WvW with your main. My main is a guardian, and I don’t like him so much in SPvP, but I can’t log any alt because I’m queued. Anet could change this by implenting a system where you are queued for WvW with you account, not with a character.
Now about the SPvP itselves. I just don’t like it. This is just personal, but I prefer groups fights over solo fights. And you have to split up if you want to win a conquest since you have to cap all the points all the time. That brings me to the next point: I don’t like the idea that capping is more important than killing. You can get top score without even fightning. Other words you be top player even though you are a big noob. I know this won’t be the case if you do tournaments, but the idea is still there.
Gear
Last point I want to talk about is the gear. I feel like it is way to easy to get the best gear atm. In my opinion that is really bad. The best gear is something you slowly reach in a game.
