Guild Wars Movie

Why the searing first? the gods leaving orr and the guild wars is before the searing.
I picked that as the start point because I’d want to see the opening of the TV series reflect the opening of GW. Your very first moments in Acalon pre-searing as a budding new adventurer, meeting little Gwen and casually finding her flute in the mud of a nearby creekbed.
That’s the game, not the movie or television series. Starting with pre searing is not right to the story.
If the movie was centered around a certain Charr commander wearing golden armor wielding Kudzu I’d probably watch it.

I can’t exactly imagine a Guild Wars movie where we follow the adventures of the gods. Such matters are best left in a prologue.
Who said we would follow the gods? that’s how guild wars start the story, not who we follow.

Guild Wars starts the story in presearing Ascalon. The gods aren’t even mentioned, and you have to read the manuscripts to learn about them. I think if you want to tell the story of prophecies, you should probably leave out any of the redundant background lore, and focus on the story and characters. Starting in presearing is not a bad start for a GW movie. But you’d probably want to stay clear from a long opening title crawl, like with the Dungeons and Dragons movie. Lore about the gods could be merely mentioned by characters, but in the grand scheme of things, its not that important to the events of Prophecies.
BTW, if the World of Warcraft movie starts with an opening title crawl, to explain some of the lore, I’ll have a big laugh in the theaters.

A Guild Wars Movie? Great idea! Let’s do it like Alfred Hitchkitten in ‘Psycho’. At the end of the 1st act the lead is killed by someone totally unexpectet. We could call him Trahearn. At the end he could die by a piece of armor clipping through his neck …
Edit: Hitchkitten? WTF?

And still you go on about the main lore in GW1. If you read about GW and the lore it starts with orr and the gods leaving the humans behind, then the guild wars starts and after that pre searing. Just because it wasn’t that clear in the game, it’s a huge part of the main story.
If there is a Guild Wars movie, it better not be directed by Uwe Boll. He has no idea how to make a movie.
I’m pretty sure most Guild Wars movies have a little SKIP button in the lower right corner, don’t they?
Set a man on fire, and he’ll be warm the rest of his life.

Umm I doubt very much that Peter Jackson would ever consider such a thing……
I am from NZ also and have seen some of his very early movies which were so low budget that you would think “why would you say that?” They were good movies but in all honestly he has moved on from those kinds of movies (low grade/budget) and let’s be honest GW hardly has the kind of following that LOTR ever had.
Lastly GW never really had a good story as in storyline wise. Mind you I haven’t really read any of the books but still…..lol
Doesn’t matter, Peter Jackson would
butcherchange the story anyway.“If you want him, come and claim him!” said Arwen Warrior Princess, never.
Anyway, I’d watch a GW movie even if it was directed by… him.
Yeah! Where the hell was Glorfindel?!
It makes me happy that I’m not the only one asking that question.
