Maybe I didn’t read the fine print, but I bought a guild weapon today on one of my characters and when I went to make my Tenebrous weapon on the character who had the recipe I couldn’t because the weapons had been soulbound. I had never even equipped it. Now I have to get another 5 commendation to buy a weapon I already have. This is stupid. I why aren’t guild weapons account bound?

Do you need it for crafting? If so, try putting it in your bank and then crafting on your other char. You can usually craft using items in the bank.

Be careful what you ask for
ANet may give it to you.

I tried that. Didn’t work. Thanks for the suggestion though.

Contact support then and see if they will give you another since it is rather stupid for the game to give you a soul bound item that is used for crafting another item.

In the future make sure you check the item’s description before buying it. It’d likely have mentioned it’s SBoA, rather than SBoE.
