They didn’t just fix guild chat today, it now is better than it ever was before.

If you switch your characters, or presumably lag out or idle out, you no longer have your guild chat wiped.

Been waiting for this since launch. Thank you ArenaNet!

Jubilation! I tested and it does work on alt swap! Thanks so much for noticing this.

Now if they give us personal control over chat channel colors, I may just swoon.

This is, by far, the best thing about this patch.

I do declare! What an absolutely fantastic update.

Did another test. It appears you can pick up guild chat even when you are WITHIN the character screen or repping another guild.

This means if you idle out, are in the middle of swapping characters, or have to unrep→return for some reason, you will not lose messages.

If your guildie said “Hey wanna do TA?” 2 minutes ago and you were away and idled out, you’ll get that message when you log in.

That’s a good fix.

Oh thank goodness. This is something I’ve wanted adjusted for quite some time. It was kind of annoying that all of my other conversations persisted between character swaps, but not guild chat.

Nice that they fixed that bug but sadly the guild chat is not fixed for some (many?) people.

Looks like if you rep a guild, you get everything said in guild chat as far back as your chat box can go. When you unrep, it wipes out guild chat (and replaces it with the guild chat of the guild you switched to). Really nice.

Best change since launch IMO
