I seem to have just discovered a safeguard that attempts to keep you from kicking too many people in your guild at once, which is somewhat comforting to know is there…
…or it would be, had I not used the word “attempts”. It seems to be far from foolproof. I right click a name on the guild’s roster, and after a moment “Kick from Guild” turns to “Guild Invite” so when you try to click it, rather than kicking them it just gives you the message that you can’t invite them because they’re already in the guild.
It takes a moment, though, and it’s not terribly hard to be faster than it and still kick. Seems kind of pointless, I’d say either fix it or remove it entirely.
Oh, if anyone was wondering the REASON why I’m kicking hundreds of people from a guild, it’s not that I went power-mad with a grudge or anything. We just compiled a google documents list over the last few months, painstakingly and by hand, of the people we actually see repping now and then.
We don’t have a 100% rep requirement, which is nice for the friendly, casual atmosphere…but comes back to bite us when we hit capacity and need to clear some space. We can’t just kick whoever’s online but not repping at the moment like I imagine the bigger, hardcore guilds do. I mean, we TOLD them it’s not 100% rep.
It’s kind of a huge pain in the kitten that wouldn’t be necessary if we could sort the list by Last Repped. Hint hint, Anet.
