My guildies and I have read the new blog about the guild upgrades and for us it’s not very clear what we’re gonna keep and what we have to use.

Can anyone clarify what we have to research and what to use up before the patch?
Example: Do we have to already have the waypoints reduction cost researched for it to be grandfathered in?
And what are the consumables in:
“Any consumable upgrades your guild has purchased that fall into the categories being removed will need to be used before the launch of Guild Wars 2: Heart of Thorns™ or they will disappear”
For example: do they mean the 48 hour harvesting boost?
