Guild wars 2 Mesmer or Necromancer?
Necromancer is op for wvw, but not liked for dungeon runs if you like speed clears, usually its guard/wars/eles and depending thief/mes for ports/stealths. Mesmer is great for pvp and setup properly can be well balanced in terms of support, damage, even conditions. For wvw mesmers are usually used more for support, portals, veils, etc.
Hope that helps. If you plan to do more wvw, def necromancer, if little of everything, probably mesmer
Honesty is not insulting, stupidity is.
>Class Balance is a Joke<
i really love my mesmer
playing around with the clones is really fun to heh
really usefull aswell if ur not want a fight and are just running place, u can trait to make a clone when u dodge and then sick it on whatevers attacking u and keep running
Both are actually quite viable. But necromancer feels more powerful much earlier. That said, a skilled mesmer can do some amazing things. Especially toward the endgame.
They’re the class I hate to fight against the most, in PvP and WvW, one-on-one.
Necro’s fear (staff 5) reaches longer than mesmer’s pull (focus 4). Like towers in WvW and in EotM. The fear can work also as a trap, while mesmer has to do pull in full action and fast. In WvW, it may mean death.
I play mesmer, and have Runes of the Sunless for their fear.
