Guild Wars 2

Hi,
today I would like to present you an idea about Guild Wars 2 game-pad compatibility. Would be nice to sit down on couch, run GW2 on big TV screen and just plug wireless controller and play in this game <3 Next idea is to port GW2 to next gen console like Xbox One or/and Play station 4, For those of you who like me do not have very good PC/Laptop is an alternative to play game and see the beauty of it :) With new action camera it is even better to control with game pad then mouse :) Please comment and discuss this topic, I will be really greatfull if this feature hit GW2 :)

I prepared simple key bind for gamepad on exemple of xbox one controller:

LS – Moving camera
RS – Targeting (as action camera)
A bottom – Skill #2
B bottom – Skill #3
X bottom – Skill #4
Y bottom – Skill #5
LT – changing skill on X,A,B,Y
LT+ A bottom – Skill #7
LT + B bottom – Skill #8
LT + X Bottom – Skill #9
LT + Y Bottom – Skill #0
LB – Healing skill
RT – auto-attack
RB – Next Target
Dpad UP- Skill F1
Dpad LEFT- Skill F2
Dpad DOWN – Skill F3
Dpad RIGHT – Skill F4
Previev Bottom – Option menu (Esc)
Menu Bottom – Circle or Menu with our Hero Panel

Don’t have idea to bind LS and RS clicks but for example is to calling target and to switch between targets .

I already know tons of people who play GW2 with PS3/4 and Xbox/one controllers. As for porting the game to consoles no thank you. MMOs on consoles never work unless they were planned for console from the beginning a cheap port will be a waste of money. So if you want to play using a controller then do it, nobody is stopping you.

And it doesn’t.
You need a software that makes your controller inputs emulate keyboard input.

Why? Mouse and Keyboard are more natural and more precise than any controler, why would Arena net provide you a way to downgrade the game experience?

There is a good amount of people who feel infinitly more comfortable playing something with a control as opposed to mouse and keyboard. GW2 seems like a game that would be really compatible with a control due to its fairly low amount of keybindings needed and even more so with action camera.

u can play with gamepad ps3/ps4/xbox on pc with xpadder,its even better because u can make special key combinations for more profiles.
it cant replace mouse+keyboard but its ok for many things

it’s a lot easier to set up a Steam Controller for this (and I believe there are some community-shared settings for it via Steam itself that will auto configure the controller for the game)
