Guild wars quests always two levels higher ?
You’re not supposed to go through the Personal Story quests uninterrupted from the beginning to the end. If you’re not high enough level for them, go out into the world and do some events/hearts/exploration instead, then come back when you’re high enough level for your Personal Story.
I have been playing Guild wars 2 now for some time and am getting very frustrated with the AI leveling. I have played as a warrior, ranger and elementalist at 1-9 early levels. The problem with game is that say you are to save the children at the orphanage quest and it is set for level 6. You manage to get your player up to 5 1/2 level and then you get some upgrade like a vest or pants upgrade. This then changes the orphanage quest from level 6 to level 8. Now you are still at a 5 1/2 level and you can’t possibly hope to win the orphanage quest, while as before you could have if the level for the quest would have remained at level 6.
What the hell is wrong with the leveling AI in this game? The programmers for this game need to correct this problem or else other players who start this game will throw up their hands in total frustration.
When the quest is above your level, you are supposed to go out into the world and do other things, like do the dynamic events, craft, or just about anything else in the game. The personal story quests are not meant to be played one to another uninterrupted.
This isn’t like Elder Scrolls Oblivion, where you can finish the the whole story line as a level 1 character.
Individual PS ‘quests’ don’t change level. If it is a Level 6 quest, it will always be a Level 6 quest. Each quest in the progression is incrementally higher than the last, of course. I’m confused by your statement. The HUD never changes levels on the same PS ‘quest’.
Personal Story isn’t the quest system in Guild Wars 2, it is a story system. The quest system is supposed to be Hearts/dynamic events which you find by adventuring, not following npc’s.
ArenaNet actually considered locking personal story into tiers, like 10,20,30, etc because of this, that’s how it is in China and it worked out pretty well.
