Guildwars2 Collector's Edition
Well first off, all the in game items that comes with the CE is also in Digital Deluxe or Hero Editions, so you wont have anything in the game itself to show that you got CE and not just the digital version.
Now you get some nice physical stuff. I for one have my Rytlock figurine standing watch over my other collectibles including the boxes. The box looks pretty neat and I like the artprints and the custom frame. One day I may even get a few more frames made after the one thats in it so I can get my other artprints up. Lastly there is the making off the game book, which have some fairly nice information and concept art.
For me it was worth it, definitely and I would buy the CE if there was one in the odd case that Anet ever makes an expantion, and it is not just digital.
But few things you should consider. Will you have the Rytlock figurine standing on display or will it be hidden away somewhere. Will you have one of the artprints in the frame standing or hanging somewhere, or will they stay in the box. Will you read or look through the book or just leave it be. Basicly are you going to use the items or not.
The other question is how much you’d pay for one these days. The CE was limited-run and may not still be available at retailers, so you might be looking at eBay or something like that if you want to find one… and that sometimes means prices well above retail.

LOL, I bought it for around 50 pounds prior to the game’s premiere and now, look at this:

Still, I think it’s one of the nicest CE of any game I’ve ever got.
Think about it! If you truly love the game, the price won’t matter that much!
The statue of Rytlock is waaaaaay larger than I thought it was. Much bigger than the Malgus statue in the SWTOR collector’s edition. It’s huge.
The making of book is also really interesting.
If those two items don’t sound like your cup of tea then it probably isn’t worth it. The big disappointment is the digital items. Though I do have a character that uses the ghost wolf elite at times.
I thought it was worth it at $150. I"m not sure I’d play $230 though.
The DE was useful for rushing to 80, access to a bank made a world of difference at the start. However a giant rytlock would more than likely weigh me down more than anything. Which is why I opted for the DE instead.
