Guild Wars 2

Something I got to thinking of was the ability for guilds to go into war with each other. Think about it, the game is called “Guild Wars” 2 right? why is there not the option for guilds to actually war?

What I am thinking of is that the guild leader(s) have the initial say as to wether or not to go to war with another guild and the option to allow the officers or their second in command of doing so.

Guild doesn’t necessarily mean a big amount of people. PvP is in essence a version of a guild that is fighting each other. If they made a guild battle where each guild only had a set number of players, then people would only have one guild and there would always be a limit of how many players are in it.
So it would just make it really bad for new players and others wanting to get into it as it would be more full of elitists than it already is when it isn’t supervised or contained.

Now that you mention it, you have a point. Thinking about the past when I first started playing factions, it was a bit of a pain to find the right guild due to almost everyone wanting to get into a gvg match with everyone else.
