Gw2 Could of Destroyed Wow...
No, it would never destroy WoW with the current game GW2 is. It is just more of the same. People who playe WoW would never move to a new MMORPG which looks just like WoW in many aspects.
Lots of games still have the holy trinity as far as I know…Can always play one of them.
SOS Spy Team Commander [SPY]
Not having the holy trinity is what sets the game apart from WoW.
Why in the name of the holy trinity did you have to create another thread to express your opinion if there’s one talking about this exact same subject just two threads below??
Attention seeking much?
you mean gw2 could have destroy wow if it becomes the same as wow?
like instead of shouting forming a group for ac, you will have to sit in town for half an hour looking for a healer and than half an hour looking for a tank?
would you like some gear treadmill with it?
I don’t understand, most of you guys come to gw2 because you don’t want to play wow. You are tired of playing the same combat systems for years, and tired of sitting in town waiting for queue… Yet you guys would come to gw2 expecting it’s a wow with public quest…
Gw2 stands on its own strengths. It doesn’t need another game to validate its existence.
Seriously, who gives a kitten about “killing wow” anymore? Move on with your life or lack thereof.
The goal was never to destroy WoW. The goal is to change how people see the MMO genre, and improve the quality and diversity of the genre going forward. To show developers that being different isn’t a sin.
The trinity is what exactly KILLED WoW.
LFTank, LFHealer while sitting inside a city for the majority of WotLK and Cataclysm is what started the nails in the coffin of WoW.
Trinity design basically is a crutch for needing to ‘control’ the encounter via the developers/designers. No encounter in real life is controlled…ask any military officer that in terms of planning vs on the ground reality.
If you want the trinity, then go back to playing WoW…no one is forcing you here to play a non-trinity game. And you know, GW2 combat in dungeons is akin to the PvP encounter in the WotLK ToC. Tanking is control…the issue is most people playing this game don’t know how to ‘control’ an encounter.
GW2 is not WoW and isn’t trying to be WoW. Thank god it’s not.

Hello everybody,
although feedback is much appreciated, mentioning other games here is off-topic. Therefore, this thread will now be locked.
Thanks for understanding.
