When i get chat suppressed after saying it twice within 5 minutes

ANET i know your doing everything in your power to prevent me from finishing my dungeon set but this is nuts

You can change your status in the person by clicking on the face thing in the upper left thing but it turns out no one ever uses or looks that that

They probably never use it because it doesn’t help and it doesn’t help because noone is ever on the list because no one ever uses it.

Also it tends to de activate your LFG status every time you breath heavily so it’s a pain to reset when the status can’t be the default.

Honestly I think the game needs more personal groupy things before mid-high levels before it becomes an issue anyway because by the time you’re high enough level to need to spam for a group you either no people or for some reason people aren’t interested in having you enough to bother you for a group after they know you.

You’re just doing some off topic rant on someone that already has it’s own threat of arguments against it where you feel you are safe from people pointing out you are wrong with data.

Change up your message in map chat so you don’t trigger it.

So instead of “Thief LFG CM”

Do – “Thief looking for group Manor!”
“Thief LFG manor”

or what have you. Just add some variety, should be good to go.

I’m not ranting, just personal experience. I’m not going to make wild threats of massive ‘doom’ to the game. In fact I greatly enjoy this game. I’m just stating that every zone I go to is near empty and it’s very hard to find a group for dungeons.

Throwing numbers at me does not change the fact that I feel very alone in this game.

Anyway, the system in place for groups is a bit broken. I don’t think a LFG tool should be implemented but finding a group needs to be easier.

I just tried it out on my server… It took 6 hits using the same message to trigger the map suppression. Changing each message does not trigger it.
Changing zones resets it.

If zoning resets this then why even have this system in place? It’s confusing.

Kind of similar to the fact I can zone into the mists to get to LA but I can’t warp there for free. Some kind of time sink ninja middleman. :O

Because when you change zones, you switch map chats.

I always see these comments about chat suppression, but I never see any type of evidence about it.

I can claim things, too. Maybe ArenaNet would like to see some proof of this “say two things and get suppressed” problem you’re having? I certainly haven’t had any type of problem with it, and I talk in /map a lot.
