I am, essentially, brand new to Guild Wars 2. I bought the game on release day, but when I tried to play it, my framerate was so bad on the lowest settings that it gave me a headache. The other day, I got 8 or 9 emails asking me to verify a login attempt on my account from several different places in China, so I got my serial code and reset my password. Today, I finally got around to playing for the first time, only to find myself in a level 80 area with my inventory full of level 80 items. Should I just vendor this stuff or would it be worth anything to trade? Also, how did I end up with all this stuff, anyway and has this happened to a lot of other people?
You were hacked by gold sellers. You might have some money on there, too. xD As far as I know, it’s not very common as most stolen accounts have been reported, blocked, and possibly recovered. You just skipped the first two steps.
The materials have some value. I can’t tell if the weapons do from their icon though. If any have yellow text, they’re fairly valuable. If they have orange text, then they’re worth a few gold at lvl 80.
Hierarchy goes white, blue, yellow, orange, pink, purple with white being the lowest. You can’t normally get pink as a drop (exception being fractals 10+) and they’re very few in number, being restricted to trinkets atm. Purple is only for legendaries.
White → Blue → Green → Yellow → Orange → Pink → Purple
Vendor any whites and blues. Buy yourself some master salvage kits for the yellows, and either vendor or forge the greens for more yellows. You could sell the yellows if you wish, but the ectoplasms from breaking them down are more profitable if you’re willing to take the risk~ Those powerful bloods you have are also a very expensive item.
They had a level 10 in an 80 area?
Also, check your bank in Lions Arch or a crafting station. You may have more stuff you don’t even know about.
Gold sellers have a lvl 80 character lead while multiboxing low level characters to follow its actions and get hits for drops. So if you see a group of low level characters attacking things in frostgorge or something, it’s probably them.

I never really pay attention, honestly. I’ve seen a group of bots running around once. I’m usually off with guildies somewhere minding my own business. xD
Oh, I always report when I see them. The only time I saw them before was when they stood still in event spawn areas like Penitent and spammed attacks. Reported the same bot for like a week straight. xD
Klomno, you might want to use the support option in the service menu and get them to roll back your account. If your account was involved in botting/real money transfer it is just a matter of time before it gets banned.
Put in a support ticket and ask for a roll back to when you know you last played due to being hacked. That way if your account does get banned for botting/RMT you have your support ticket to fall back on.
Also if they were able to use your account despite having confirmation emails you may want to change your email password as well as your email account might have also been hacked.

Some lvl4 idiot was following me around the lost shores, kept trying to invite me to party with him. Now my account is blocked?! 600 hours of gameplay.. I’m one hour of unanswered report away from a rage quit. to sets of exotic gear on two lvl 80’s most of the mats for the Bifrost. I am about to break down. I didn’t know about people doing this?!
As Woldcode said, you should file a ticket to support at least asking them if you are allowed to use those items to your benefit or not, since it could very easily seen as taking advatage of botting done with your account even if you didnt do the botting personally

Howd this happen? Did accepting his invite get you banned? Or was he just following you and someone reported you?
I accepted the party invite thinking to myself, “What an idiot. She’s gonna get one-shot all the time.” But she was clever, waited for me and my friemd to attack first all the time. Which eventually kitten me off so my friend and I kicked her from the party. Luckily my friend isn’t blocked too though. Anyone know how to get an official response to this because my account appeal has been ignored?!
This scares me because even if my account is reinstated how do you know whether someone else is doing something illegal? I don’t think I will ever party with randoms again because of this. I’ve only been playing for like 6 months now.
