It’s getting out of hand. Here are the hacks I’ve seen so far:

- Some dude on the other team was able to send me a private message

- Saw a guy teleporting around, and he was invulnerable as well

- A thief apparently hacking his cooldowns. Went invisible after each attack. Nearly impossible to land a single hit against.

I don’t get it. Why can people blatantly cheat? Doesn’t the server decide what happens, not the client? Why can’t we report enemies we see doing this in WvW?

Yeah but what do report them as? There’s no “Hacking” option.

Saw an invisi-telehacker on the Dragonbrand Boarderlands earlier. Disappeared after every attack, and apparently had teleported into our keep. Ended up camping outside our Supply Camp and killing our Dolyaks.

Yeah I saw that same thief. How do you report him anyway? You cannot select him. He’s only visible for a moment at a time while he attacks.

I coulda sworn tells work across servers, i.e. that you could whisper me at my forum name from any server. That really doesn’t seem like a hack.

There’s so much buggy display in WvW that I’d hesitate to believe what I see on my screen is what anyone else sees. Cuz over half the people in the Lord’s room are invisible, every time. Not a hack, just not-yet-ready software.

I don’t know how to find somebody’s name in WvW, and I’ve tried clicking on them and stuff. I could be wrong though, maybe there’s a legit way to message and report people in WvW.

Whatever, it’s beside the point. There are blatant hackers doing stuff that is extremely unfair.

The problem is a lot of the ‘checks’ are still client side instead of server side and as the client can be hacked, this means lots of cheats.

They need to move more of the code checks BACK to the server.

Sort of an oversight in the system. When you go to report someone it lists their full handle/name, and you can use that to whisper them. Not sure if that could be seen as an exploit or not.

This thief stealthing is obviously getting out of hand. 3 of us ‘chanced’ upon this ONE enemy thief. We tried to take him down but he kept stealthing to the point he killed all 3 of us, one by one in succession.

I was puzzled why his stealth spell has no cooldown. So I decide to lay death and observe him. For a full 5 – 6 minutes, I did not see him around my corpse and thought he must have left the place. Then came along a friendly player who try to revive my corpse. The moment he try to revive, this enemy thief pop out of stealth and fight him. Again he stealth and stealth till he killed this friendly player too.

I can only conclude that his stealth spell has no cooldown and when he stealth, he remain stealth permanently like a rogue class in World of warcraft. I don’t know how he did it but this is what I observe.

You didnt see the fly hacks? or glitch orbs? Sir you need to play, pay more attention in wvw.

All cool downs for all skills are controlled CLIENT based, they can use a simple memory editor and change skills to have zero cool down. They NEED to move this stuff server sides, or it will never be fixed.

Ummm, no. I refer you to FFXIV for why.. however, server could somehow poll players positions and abilities cool downs to automatically detect exploitation/hacking. Like if your z postion is x amount to far above what it should be based on your location.
