Guild Wars 2

So this showed up on a Black Desert beta:

And in the video, they specifically mentioned how Guild Wars 2’s opted to just remove the hair. So it can be done, even with all the customization in BD. We just don’t know how difficult it is to do in Guild Wars 2.
I would like to see this as a stealth update sometime in the future with hair and hats/helms being made to live in harmony with one another.

never going to happen. It’s been talk to death since GW1……move on. ANET is not going to waste resources to fix something that is not a priority.

as long as we get an option for no helm/just helm/hair&helm i’d be fine with this.
Some helms wouldn’t look good with hair shown, though, & some hairstyles just plainly don’t suit helmets, so making it blanket would be a mistake.

All my chars hid their helmets because of this. Not that I care. Many of the helmets I don’t like anyways. it’s the body armor and leggings that I like to dress up my char.
