Hair and Height
No.
The races will not share the same hairstyle in every aspect. Some will adopt other hairstyle into their own culture because of how they’re used to it. They’re not going to dramatically dress up like a norn. They just want to retain a sense of identity, and concept of themselves as a race as whole.
Your height idea will never be implemented, on other note. People do not technically approve the idea of children going to war, and fighting war for adults. Not to mention that Arenanet will not lower the height measurement, and continue to keep it the way it is. Taimi’s height is an exception because she’s a NPC.
PC =/= NPC. PC will dress their ‘child’ character inproper, while developers know what they’re doing with the NPCs. The PC do it just for fun, or other things.
And even if you want to try to counter the argument by saying, ‘Make the clothing more proper if equipped onto child PC’, they will not. They have enough work to deal with for all five races, and they don’t need an extra burden of work on their shoulder to create armor for children PCs.
I think some of them should be shared (like the short cut in the norn hairstyle kit!!!!!!!) but a lot of the norn hair seems more culturally appropriate for them. Also, the new human hair they added looks a little strange on them. I’d rather they do new (and far, far more needed styles, such as curly hair!) styles than share all of them.
Taimi is a progeny, so that’s why she is so tiny. We’ll never be able to play as progeny (characters this tiny would cause problems I think, as far as visibility n stuff, in addition to the logistics of armouring them), cubs, or human/norn children. We do get to play as bb sylvari tho, who are four years old at the start of Out of the Shadows =)
This is my new Asura fighter —> .
Can you see? Very dangerous and nice boots

The tyrian humans have no real culture anymore. It would destroy the norn culture to bring norn hairstyle to humans but Anet is all about destroying lore and pooping on ingame culture, I mean look we have angel wings and goku hair lol.
There should be variations and not exact replicas. Like a long braid for humans, without celtic clasps, just add a ribbon or wrap of some sort. Gw1 would recycle hairstyles often but would change it to fit the class. Like a ranger and a ritualist had dutch braids, same model but one had feathers in it and the other was garnished in jewels. Anet can do this they just choose not to.
Anet should hold a contest for players to submit hairstyles and are voted upon, everyone wins. The winners get a free hairkit or something and X amount of gems.
Destroy cultural background because of hairstyles? are you serious?
Maybe you don’t see europeans with dreadlocks? Or asians with european/american hairstyles? With people from all around the world that lives in a same city you can find really everything mixed up. In GW2 you don’t even need airplanes to travel from a place to another in the other part of the world, you have all the waypoints to teleport yourself around where you want, and every race is not “forced” in its “continent” anymore, like irl, so why tyrian barbers shouldn’t be able to replicate a particular hairstyle? At least for humans/norns. Norns are simply giant humans after all.
Out of all of the things that make a Norn a Norn … their culture and history …. I cannot believe that something so ridiculous as hair is still being discussed in the forums for race cross over and people think that even if Anet were to allow this with humans that is would destroy their cultural background. DESTROYED by a human hair style …. come on really?
In saying this … I dont think that the styles should be shared anymore than they already have been. However … I dont think this should be the deciding factor of the destruction of a race. Races have what they have for a reason. Lets leave it at that and leave the Norns alone lol
different cultures that fight and live together are bound to share many things, hairstyles is one of the most common ones.
I’m all for letting the different races share more things.
I agree with Chasind: IMO, all the hairstyles could be shared, BUT only after being properly localized for each curlture.
About the height… I think older faces and voices are way more needed than kid-able height.
that it makes every other class in the game boring to play.”

Yes! It may be a radical idea nowadays, but I support it: hair for everyone!
Now, can anyone explain to me why or how female afro-textured hair is an exclusively Asuran trait, not even shared by humans?
