Hairstyles as part of the wardrobe
Would cut into their Gem sales since the gemstore sells the self style hair kit, and total make over, also in game is the 3k gold permanent Hairstyle contract…….. What more do you need??? You can purchase all 3 of those with gold or real money…
^ That is the reason why I always use short hairstyles in MMOs (and it makes me sad because I have long hair in real life). But anyway, yes, that would be awesome but probably won’t happen.
1. Allowing for hairstyle changes in game by visiting an npc and paying with in-game coin
2. Buying “visits” to said in-game npc with gems instead of a separate kit every time (much like transmutes)
You can already do this. There are stylist in the major cities that allow you to preview both hairstyles and total makeovers. Once you chosen your new look you can buy a kit with gems then accept the changes. Those gems can be bought with ingame gold.
I was unaware of this permanent hairstyle contract. Pricey, but interesting. Where is it sold?
Yes, you can preview, but it is not as convenient as, say, going into the wardrobe, making a selection, and hitting accept.

It’s sold on the TP, found rarely in the blacklion chest.
Main problem with this suggestion is that it cuts into ANET profits and devs need to eat sometimes.
Dyeing hair should certainly be in the hero Dye panel (including accessory colour) at free cost similar to dyeing all other equipment.
Things like this is why BLC are such kitten to this game. People do not seem to realize why buying keys is such a bad thing or why those gambling boxes are bad for the player.
Also… how just being able to buy hair styles we want and use them when we want? Instead of this kit annoyance. It would fit into this hair character slot idea. Work it like gliders. Be able to use the dyes we have collected on the hair accessories?
