Everyone knows that Pascal cards will be the bomb when they’re released sometime next year and every PC gamer in the know is already saving up for them. I believe hairworks would greatly enhance the GW2 experience and it can be applied to mobs and character hair alike. With DirectX12 the implementation should be quite efficient too. It would be an optional feature of course but great for those who can power it.

On a shorter note since GW2 is CPU intensive maybe optimizing for many cores can help many people too while we’re on the topic of tech?

Pretty pointless and not worth the effort IMO. The engine cant even handle showing 30 people without starting to slow to a crawl, now imagine all of them being fuzzy hairballs. GG 2 fps.

it doesnt matter what they said about their next gen card, they will only release the slightly faster than the current one first. Thats how they are going to milk ur money.

Again with this “everyone” nonsense. Just try speaking for yourself and stop speaking for the rest of us, ok?

Just looked through https://developer.nvidia.com/hairworks

1) great for displaying furry creatures that takes up 90% of your screen
2) barely noticeable on everything else
3) most of these seem to have no more than 3 actors on screen at the same time …

But if it’s only slightly faster it’s not worth the upgrade, which is why I’m not buying Skylake as I have a Haswell.

I’d rather they add better support for multiple CPU cores first. This game is really poorly optimized.
