Hardiest profession with self healing
Newbie Question : Which prof is the most sturdy while able to do nice self-healing ?
Define how sturdy you want, and how easy the healing process is.
For example, a tank ele is moderately sturdy, but their healing process is somewhat complicated. An engineer is generally pretty sturdy, and the healing process requires about 3 steps. A ranger is fairly sturdy generally, and healing is simple. But it can’t reach the tankiness of a well-played engineer or ele.
Chronotank, the current tank in most raids, is a mesmer build that makes heavy use of evades and blocks built into the class. It’s tough as nails.

I’d suggest that necromancer is a solid choice there. It’s cloth geared, but the dual-health-bar, and the extremely large health pools, both make it pretty resilient compared to other classes.
It also has a range of fairly solid self-healing options, including being able to spec for significant healing in shroud using “gaining a boon heals you”, and “attacks in shroud grant might”, if you feel the need.
What it is not is going to be extremely robust in PvP, compared to PvE, content, for a variety of reasons that swirl around “players can smartly counter some of the healing options”.
warrior is the one for you, easy to play heavy armor class, always in the meta and will only continue to get buffed.
I would second necro as a solid choice, when it comes to pve.

Warrs only self heal that is always active unless you pop it is healsig that heals for 380+ per sec.We got adren hp trait in defense line that heals for 550+ per sec for 15 sec long After youve hit a burst with 3 bars of adrenaline,otherwise the healing intensity is lowered.So yes it is a passive heal but you Do have to make sure to land your bursts alot to keep adren hp up.

@Felincyriac,stop that nonsense already,adren hp has been nerfed for 20% now in pvp.
