Is there going to be done anything against Gold Sell Spammers? cause im getting sick of getting loads of messages a day spamming my screen, and they keep comming so i assume nothing is done against them even that its 1 of the main violations of the game right? first i didnt react at all to them but they keep spamming, also asked or they could just leave me alone… and even tried it the hard way but it seems to get worse every day!

ANet does do something against gold spammer, the problem is gold sellers can make and/or steal accounts faster than ANet can ban them.

Probably should remove name of site from you post. Most player probably know this name from in game message but do not think Anet want you to accidentally advertise gold sell site on forum.

Sue them how? You think they have a business office set up, with an address on Park St in small town USA?

Do you think they register sites under their real names and addresses in countries we have legal authority over?

The only real thing you can do is block and report. That’s it.

I’ve personally only ever gotten about 3 gold spam messages all the time I’ve been playing. Unfortunately its a commonality in MMos and online gaming in general these days. The companies can’t really regulate or put a blanket halt to it without adversely effecting their legitimate player base as well. So we ignore, block, and keep moving.

Never go to the pvp mists waiting area, problem solved.

I haven’t had any gold spam for over a year while I didn’t visit pvp (well only rankfarm but for that you don’t have to go into the mists). For the last pvp season I joined pvp mists one time → 4 days gold spam until it silenced. Then again two weeks nothing and yesterday I made the mistake to hit the wrong pvp button… 4 gold spams in less than 10 minutes…

Unfortunately I don’t think there’s anything they can do to prevent them. Just rely on your reports to ban them as they appear.

I had a strage experience yesterday with these goldsellers.

I teleported to Frostgorge Sound, to an underwater waypoint in order to finish my Harpoon Master Achievement (8 Kills to go) and to gather a bit. Noone was there beside me, and i didn’t see anyone during the time i stayed on the map (got even the message that the map will close soon).
In about 10-15 min which i spent there gathering and killing some underwater mobs i got 5 PMs from goldsellers (diffrent accounts). I mean.. usually i get these while im in a city, Heart of the Mists or Edge of the Mists or so – at least some populated map, never in an empty place. It felt spooky somehow. The messages stopped after i left FGS.

I have no idea how they do this – probably using a scanner or something for the whole map. I did the only thing i can do (reported them). It still felt strage though, like i would have been stalked.

Ez fix close kitten pvp if people want to play pvp they can play any pvp game with some name and have a way better environment (sry Anet but if you’re honnest with yourself you know I’m right) all that is venomous comes from pvp. Btw e sports is something that matkets to kids us adults knownour limitations! So the people you’re atracting is people not willing to spend money in gemstore or even purachase of game (and then whine about p2w) it’s those people willing to go in on offers frol goldsellers.
So who is with me close pvp we’ll be rid og most of the gold selling problems and I’m not gonna miss this unbalanced pvp part of the game that we try to make Esport (it’s never gonna happen!)

But now serious gold selling just suck make people aware it’s wrong to go for those offer and make sure you do report them!

P.S. I do mean what i said about the Esports thing and the kiddo’s

just block them, and report. I myself havent seen goldsellers much for the last year or so on the european servers at least.

I have never seen a gold seller since the beginning of this game, so I really don’t see where you are coming from.

redcomyn: If you don’t go to the PvP lobby or at least just quickly run through to the LA gate, you may never see said evil doers.
