Have you ever been kicked out of a dungeon or fotm grp b4 it has even started because of your class?

I wanna see the class thats commonly said

Everyone knows the answer is going to be ranger.

I’ve ran on my ele, mesmer and thief.

Most common I bet is the Ranger.

Followed by the Necro, as two Necros in a party is just as bad as having 1 bearbow Ranger.

I am ranger and i never get kicked.
But i kick a good amount myself

Nope. Not many people really genuinely care what class you run and the ones that do are horribly bad at the game and need the crutch.

Don’t see why anyone would play ranger. The damage is abysmal and the pet AI is broken and this has been admitted by ANet on the forums as well as the fact that they have no plans to fix it.

Spotter, decent dmg, frost spirit, situational use in optimal teams.
All we see is bearbow ranger, they suck, play with a good one who actually know how to use his sword, and you got something good.
Ranger is a pain in the kitten to play, but it can be helpfull.
I would replace all thoses cleric guards to get good rangers.

I’ve only ever been kicked solely because of class once, and that was on my Ranger. The conversation basically went like this:

“Hey”
“Hi hunter, please ping your utility skills 6 – 0”
“[Healing Spring][Signet of the Hunt][Sharpening Stone]…
You are not in a party

To be fair, I can’t really blame ‘em. I was pretty nooby at the time, running in Rampager’s gear and a completely random trait set up.

I can tell you right now that I have NEVER been kicked from any group as my Ranger unless I was actively trolling a group that had a “NO RANGARS” title (which was all of twice… and the second time was absolutely hilarious to see one Warrior raging when four Rangers jumped into his party all at once).

Honest to God truth, I do not believe this “will kick [x] class” is NEARLY as prevalent as some people want to believe it is.

It’s actually an easy way to tell what groups are awful at the game, because they are the ones that have a “NO RANGAR” title or some sort. Most of the best speed-clearing groups will run with one ranger (and ONLY one that they know is good) simply because of its unique buffs and decent (though not great on its own) damage is generally better than any other fifth they could run with.

I never have yet. I’ve been asked a few times if I had a Warrior or Guardian alt I could switch to though. I actually have both lvl 80 but no, I’m a Thief primarily and they have to deal with it. Then I get to be amused that I’m the one saving everyone else and probably doing the most dmg. ;/

I use my ranger anytime I want to farm, he has good burst damage with longbow (yes I said it – longbow). Skill 2 is just like most other skill 2’s in the game – burst damage. My ranger does damage a lot faster than my engi does. Engi’s have no burst damage unless you count the flamethrower and that’s still slower than longbow 2 for a ranger.

Pet is no issue for me, most smart rangers KNOW to send their pet in first for the first strike and THEN you fire your bow.

Yeah and baddies come in a variety of flavors classes.

I’ll pick a fast, clean, boring run over ten “interesting” retries and disband any day. If that is not what you prefer then all the luck to you. I’m just saying how i managed to improve my own gaming experience without having to resort to kicking, since players interested in “boring” gameplay might find it helpful.
