I know I personally just log in, get daily chest, then logout. I used to play about a half hour on edge of the mists mainly getting achievements but now not even that. The only reason I log in is on the slight chance they decide to add content to the game at some point in the future. Anyone else in the same boat?

Also if any devs/managers are reading I don’t open the gem store to buy items during this 20 second log in either.

For me, and I can’t speak for others, it has increased. I enjoy the new Achievement task Chests.

For any Devs reading, I open the Gem Store every day to sell items, exchange Gold for Gems, look at what’s new and I also check to see if there are any free give-away promotions, usually.

For me, not much change. Before, I typically integrated the dailies into my regular play, whatever I happened to be doing on that day. Now, with the new system, I do have to allocate some time specifically to do them…but it rarely takes more than 20-30 minutes. I typically play about 2 hours per night…or thereabouts.

I now have more time to do other things than grind out the daily. But during the holidays with the travel and parties, I know that I’ve played a bit less since the change in the daily.

I’ve been playing significantly less for a while, now. I can’t say if my decrease since the daily login system has been because of it, or because I’m busy for the holidays.

My time hasn’t changed but I’m having more fun no more grinding out 8 Dailies everyday. I do 3, today I did a quick Fractal brought some Blueprints in WvW and mined a Home instance in Rata Sum and done in almost no time at all. I’m taking a little break right now for a cuppa, got strange Headache cough hangover cough but when I log back in I’ll be doing what I want instead of what I need for Dailies.

Log in for daily chest. Create a bolt of damask. Sell it. Log out.

Yeah my activity has dropped. Im only doing the daily damask for a gradual gold increase incase they actually release some new content that makes me want to play actively again.

It decreased a lot for me. Log in, get reward, may or may not do daily then log out. When LS comes back then I’ll start logging in for longer but until then another MMO (not WoW) has all my attention.

Kill stuff to unlock weapons skills, most confusing thing I ever heard of. (sarcasm)

I usually log in to get my welfare chest, then complete my daily, then cash my experience slips in on alt, then play that alt for an hour or so.

Roughly 2.5 hours tops; a typical play session for me though now I usually use my second play session on another mmo.

Consciously less even since I was bullied by the authorities recently.

I’m playing more, but that’s because I’m working for a legendary again, not because of anything about changes to the game.

I go in phases, but even on days when I play the least I’m playing for at least 4 hours. I’m also spending more time on line because the guild is growing and someone usually needs help with something.

I’ve changed shifts so my family is actually awake when I get home. Down side is I can’t come home and play GW2 for 5 hours.

I’m in a very play-intensive period myself now, clocking pretty much all available free time (which as a man with a full-time job and a family isn’t that much) into the game. Currently working on several different goals:

Catching up on the Story Journal Achievements
→ Working on the Luminescent parts at the same time

Collecting sprockets for watchwork mechanism to finally finish the ascended spinal blades.

Leveling my Elementalist and the last two crafting disciplines (tailoring and artificer).

Collecting charged quartz to prepare a celestial set for said Elementalist.

Getting the last 6 WvW ranks towards bronze (and beyond).

Collecting Foxfire to advance towards Mawdrey.

And when I finish those or get bored with them:

Work on my Dungeon Master Title and open the dungeon reward tracks for all dungeons by replaying the story instances. For Arah I will need to finish the personal story for one of my alts so I can kill two birds with one stone on that.

Finish the Tequatl and Wurm achievement masteries.

Reach 10k achievement points (doesn’t really need anything else than to just do the stuff above).

Finish forging the remaining Ascended weapons (missing mace, shield, staff, focus and scepter – not going to craft underwater ascended before we get bubbles) and perhaps
finish my main warrior’s ascended armor set (missing gloves and shoulders). Also will probably craft some duplicates once the weapon set is complete and perhaps ascended chest/leggings for my alts.

Collect enough laurels to purchase ascended celestial trinket set.

And obviously doing daily every day, trying to hit as many there as I can, but at least the minimum 3 to get the achi points. At the moment of course there’s also the Wintersdaily for the laurel.

So no, I’m not going to run short of stuff to do anytime soon…

Yup, log on pretty much every day for 5 to 6 hours, depending on the day.
Saturday and Sunday, typically about 10-12 hours, depending on RL issues.
Working on several items, the least of which is map completion.
Just had a Dusk drop, so gearing up for that adventure.
I play with a pretty active pve guild, dabble a bit in pvp and wvw.
The first year after release, I got behind the eight ball in the game because I traveled for work for 8 months. About 6 months ago, got into a good guild and have experienced a lot of the game.
And yet, I have not experienced it all, so yeah, I have a lot to do.

I see myself taking more and more breaks the past 6 months. Any finally recently, I decided not to play until release days. The game doesn’t really offer me much to accomplish anymore, in PvE at least.

I’m Lvl.50 in FOTM
Full Ascended Armor, Weapons, Trinkets with 2 legendary weapons made.
Done all the dungeon in the game probably over 1000 times.
Completed Teq, 3-headed wurm achievements, mastered them.
I have 5 lvl.80s all pretty much maxed out.
Again the game has nothing for me to learn anymore or strive to beat, accomplish. So all in all, I get bored very fast.

The only thing I see myself coming back for is PvP, since I haven’t hit max rank yet but still there is a progression in skill in this aspect in the game that I enjoy. The rest..has been pretty vacant for me..for like 6 months. The releases are great when they put them out but it suffers from the same problem (new zones) as any other MMO, the content gets played to death and the treadmill they put on the new armor sets isn’t something I’m very fond of.

Anyway, don’t log in unless its release day and new content to be offered.

I log on, do my daily, check the TP and log out. I’m just in a holding patten until the LS starts again. After that I will increase my playtime again. There is really no reason to need to play right now since we are on holiday break. Once the story starts again then hopefully there will be more reasons to log on.

That said It only takes me about 2 days to do the very small LS updates then I go back into my 10 minute routine. Hopefully they add something more substantial soon.

I play more. PvP has improved pretty dramatically (games with scores<100 difference) and my ISP finally fixed my internet after 8 months of complaining when they started having to refund my money.

Living World story has been good, just the updates have been small (an hour’s worth of content…maybe).

When I get bored with one aspect of this game, I usually just move to another.

Before the daily changes I would just do daily rich iron nodes, and the daily if it was REALLY easy (laurel merchant, craft etc).

Now I’m usually on a little longer since the dailies require often two easy ones (logging and forging) and one that’s either a world boss or zone quest completion. IF there is a world boss near when I log in that is required, I’ll do it, but I don’t go out of my way.

I have 3500 hours on the game, the new format just seems to waste more time and teleports, I imagine once the variety of items in the chests starts to fade in my eyes I’ll probably start doing less again (any day now).

I used t play 8 hours a day in the first year,

Well it isn’t that no-life no more, nowadays I’m 3-5 hours day online, tending to my guild(s) where I’m co-leader or officer, I do my daily AC run, cof 1(+2), the daily (fastest way possible) and some LS content (atm 30 min silverwastes, of just something else) If I’ve got time I do a Fractals run, do some other dungeons (TA, CoE,SE) or help someone who’s asking for help in map chat or guild chat.

IF nothing happens I’m gone in 1 hour if soem things arise and my wvw guild calls me I can be up till very late…

5500 hours on my characters combined, but I deleted 2 a while ago and tbh I think my total decreased a little.

23 lvl 80’s, 9 times map, 4ele, 4ncr, 3war, 3grd, 3rgr, 2thf, 2msm, 1eng, 1 rev.
Been There, Done That & Will do it again…except maybe world completion.

I would say so. I was logging in to do 5 dailies for the laurel, now I just log in for a few secs. For about a week I was logging in significantly more to mess with the new pvp, but it is kind of a mess, especially the leaderboard being grind based instead of skill based.

I gave myself Elite: Dangerous for Xmas seeing as I played the original in 1984 I was/am stoked. I find myself just logging in to gw2 to get my daily reward and do 3 chores for the achievement. I sometime rally with my guild during the week in WvW and generally do guild missions on Saturday, but my playtime has decreased significantly from what it once was.

My hope is that in 2015 they do something about the missing crafting professions and add more real content than they did in 2014. If not I now have another game I am playing to fill the hours.

About the same for me. Two or three hours depending on when the World Boss spawns. Would be less if there was no world boss in the daily. Maybe an hour tops then.

Edit: Since there was no world boss on the daily today, and I couldn’t solo the the fractal this time, an hour and fifteen minutes give or take. This included the Wintersday ones. So, without those, about an hour if that.

Soloed the fractal yesterday, and tried my luck today. It wasn’t a pretty experience. Guess the two I got today were not happy I soloed their brother or something yesterday.

Gone to Reddit.
