After 3 days of research and testing i still have no clue if MF was changed, people are now saying it works with chest now because of the update , the new cap to it is around 200% , it works with the mystic forge, can a Dev give me a straight answer?

Last dev post on this topic clearly states Magic Find does not affect chests or Mystic Forge.

Also they have repeatedly stated that no change has been made to the MF mechanics whatsoever.

If you have something better than rumors and hearsay then please share your data.

3 days does not a glimpse of the drop rate make.
once you have 3 months of hard data and not observations, then get back to us.

uhhh what? There is a cap to MF? Can someone approve or dispute this claim? I don’t wanna get my ascended MF pieces just to find there is a cap to it.

So, there’s an update (most likely pure maintenance) without any descriptions and people automatically think that MF works on chests now?

I did about 8 CoF runs yesterday and got one piece of rare armor the whole time. Obviously this is small, but I don’t see how this rumor got started.

The only thing I have noticed is I’ve been getting more dye drops, and so has my girlfriend. Not implying this has changed, just saying it’s the only thing I’ve noticed.

Can someone provide a link showing why anyone would assume this has been changed?

There is no link. It’s just people using a small sample size of experience and generating conclusions on it, which is prety poor.
