Guild Wars 2

I was roaming Brisban with one of my characters and I noticed a broken bridge on the map and went to check it out. At the top there was a bunch of bandits that I defeated and I looked across the bridge and saw a portal to a new zone. The weird thing is that there is no zone currently in the game. Does anyone know if this has always been there or does this hint at another area going to be added soon?

Yes, it’s been there for quite some time.

I’ve brought a number of friends to check it out, some to even try and map glitch to it.

I’ve a feeling we’ll see something become of it – just like people snooping around the old Fort Vandal thought we’d see something in the future.

The devs put in a lot of things like that. Place holders for future content that may or may not ever come. Fort Vandal was one, Fields of Ruin, Lion’s Arch and Sparkfly also have gates to “elsewhere”. I’m sure there are others that I don’t remember at the moment. It’s not a promise of new content, just something they can use later if they decide to.

glitched my way their once, it looks like a portal but it’s just a shiny wall. It’s a location they can attach new world to, like the fortress just now.
I like stuff like the fortress better, since you just see walls and gates. Seeing portals is annoying because you somehow want to go there and already know what’s there.
