I’m wondering if it is still possible to get a specific weapon skin ticket (like Fused Weapon Claim Ticket, but related to the current living story) directly from a Black Lion Chest or if it was completely replaced by the (general) Black Lion Claim Tickets.

Back in ye olde days or yore, major events had weapons specific skins that could only be obtained through black lion chests for a limit time. Drop rates were abysmal and the system favored classes that had more weapon options, thusly players did rage.

So Anet delivered upon us a merchant that would trade black lion tickets for any event weapon skin we so choose. Said tickets and scraps of these tickets replaced the skins in the chests proper.

No longer will an Engi player spend $80 on Black Lion keys and end up with nothing or a focus, but instead will possibly receive a golden ticket that will exchange for a shiny rifle.

As far as I know, tickets, or more commonly, ticket scraps replaced any skins…if there were skins before. I don’t remember skins, just claim tickets.

I just updated my question.
It was always with the tickets but there were (or are?) special tickets like the Fused Weapon Claim Tickets.

Not any more. You take your BLTC Claim Tickets (or scraps) to the BLTC Claim Ticket vendor and exchange them for the weapon(s) you desire.

Though, there may be specialized Weapon Claim Tickets included in the high-scoring rewards from the events in Escape from LA. =)

So there wasn’t a “Lovestruck Weapon Claim Ticket”?
Now when I think about it I could just have searched for a “Lovestruck Weapon Claim Ticket” or a “Dreamthistle Weapon Claim Ticket” and would not have found them.

There are the jade weapons that have the dragon’s jade claim tickets, which come from the dragon coffers. Currently the only way to get them is to participate in a Lion’s Arch under attack map that reaches 1500 citizens saved. All other weapons are with the claim tickets.

Or buy the coffers off the TP. There are still thousands of the things there. That’s probably why they haven’t put them on the BLTC weapon specialists for normal Tickets. And probably never will if Dragon Bash and the coffers return each year.
