So have not had time to play due to real life issues and of course other mmos that have pulled me away from this one.

So I do not have a really high level character to start off with and since it has been 6 months since I have played should I just scrap my old character and start fresh?as I have forgotten most of what is going on in game.

My two classes I was playing at the time were the Necromancer and Mesmer and I am not sure if a lot has changed with them game mechanics wise.

I tend to play solo more then group(unless it’s for a Dungeon) and I despise pvp so that would be out of the question as well.

Thanks for any opinions,

Talrune

You can if you so desire, or keep them and start some more. It really doesn’t matter, it’s all up to you.

I probably wouldn’t unless I was out of character slots, and really wanted different professions, as those two characters are closer to their birthdays.

Welcome back.

Hi and welcome back,

I would recommend to delay this decission, but start a new character (you should have 5 slots) to get the hang on the game again. By doing so you can re-train yourself on how to do story, craft, gather mats, do events and mapcompletion. The class doesn’t matter, but I would recommend a different one. When you are level 10 I would recommend to try your old characters. After playing both a bit you can make a good decission on wether you want to keep working on your new character or your older characters.

Be carefull in deleting characters, specially the first one. When a character has it’s birthday (365 days after creation) it gets a birthdaypresent. The 1th year present is a scroll that leveled any character below level 20 up to level 20. a birthday booster (big booster that last 24 hours (in game hours, so only when logged into the character that have it running) and a unique miniature (Queen Jennah).

In GW1 it was tradition that when a character turned 2 years, a different present was rewarded.
