Event name: Join the Ash Legion of Tawny Ridge in stealth operations
NPC name: Fina Duskmaker

This is the most stupid thing you have to do in whole game. Boring and interesting as my grandma remembering WWII. A lot of people are bored with this event and just give up on this map. Just delete it. Thank you!

The trick is … you don’t have to go through the camp. You can stroll around the outside to the end flag.

Vukorep, it involves getting stealthed and avoiding patrols as you sneak through a camp full of wandering Charr. You move glacially slow and fail if you get within like 200 feet of a Charr (not literally, but they have a large detection area that isn’t marked with visual aids).

All of the renown hearts are pretty tedious especially when going for map completion on alts. Let’s just remove them all while we’re at it.

It only takes a few minutes and it’s an actual challenge. If you hate it so much you can sit in one spot for a little longer and use 1-2 flags.

It is indeed a very annoying heart, and I would go as far as saying that even an experienced player can have difficulties with it.

There is a trick however: you don’t need to get to the other side, just repeat the first couple of flags over and over again.

(to the poster who asked, you have to sneak to each flag and try to make it through the Ash legion camp without being spotted by the Ash Legion scouts)

That is by far one of the most unique hearts in the game, in my opinion. No other heart was ever as fun for me to do as trying to get through that camp, and get every single flag and each time im out in that area i save that one for last just so i can mess around.

if you think its truly so boring though, go right at the start, theres a way behind the tents with a good three to four flags nearby that you can get without being spotted.

And i would love to hear your grandmas stories about WWII, But i suppose you are a troll and dont really have a grandma with wwii stories.

Goodness. While I don’t particularly like that Heart quest, I’m against simply removing it because it is challenging. I’m tired of this game being tuned down. * sigh *

It’s not that bad once you learn it. Once stealthed, go along the right hand wall, bypassing that one NPC. There are about 3 flags back there. The last one will get you unstealthed so either get them then run back to the heart NPC or just do the 2 safe ones where no one can see you.

I loved this heart, it was one of my favourite.

I also find this one particularly tedious and boring. I have learned though to do one or two flags then run out, kill a few mobs, then come back and do the same two, etkittenil done. It’s time consuming and not fun, but it’ll get the job done faster than trying to reach the far side of the camp, and you can get some loot from the mobs to make it worth more your while.

If I’m remembering the heart correctly, the thing that bothered the ever living hell out of me the most was the the detection ranges were circular around the charr, rather than being cone based in front of them. Stealth stuff is fun when there’s reason to the detection, but kitten , their detection range is longer than most enemies’ aggro range. x_x

I dont think ive done this heart butby the sound of it it looks like a dinamic e ent rather than a simple heart.

This is a great heart. I love the challenge of it. One of these days I’m going to find the perfect route through.

I hate that one.

But it’s not as bad as the one in Brisban where you have to do shudders math.

I found it utterly irritating with how slow it was and how wide the NPC range is. Annoying as hell, but one of the more unique heart challenges. I was (almost) glad to see it reprised in Caithe’s memory with LS2.

Reminds me.. I should see if I can finish that without getting caught.

I rather enjoyed that one. If you don’t like it perhaps you should skip it rather than asking for it to be taken away from those who do.

In my opinion, if you get all the way to the end without getting caught it should complete that heart. Having to do it all over again is a pain in the butt.

That would actually be great! and maybe also change them so they only can “See” in a triangle in front of them like those asura in that mission!

For those struggling, and do not know this, you can complete this challenge in about 10 minutes by repairing the flag at the following location. I can’t remember whether you need to be stealthed for the repair to count but it’s relatively easy to get to this spot.

I really hated how slowly you move.

And yes, I did that heart. I wouldn’t really miss it if there was some other task you could do.

You can also stack swiftness before you get stealth.

The one that really used to annoy me was the Teach the Jotuns how to trade in Wayfarer Foothills, but they’ve made it much less annoying these days.
