Hellfire Armour acquisition?
I believe people have calculated that even with all the “static” AP sources, as you put it, across all areas of the game, and doing every daily possible, it would still be many years to get it all. There have been threads suggesting fixes to this, because it does seem silly to put in a game reward that takes a decade to get.
The WvW titles are just as bad.
Like the yak escort title. Nobody will get that one. Ever. Even those rare people who actually escort yaks. Somebody did the math, and it was determined if they flagged every yak possible on an escort chain for 8 hours non stop, every day, they would get the title in about 12 years.
Yakslapper was slightly better. Based on yak spawn and run time, a player dedicated to killing yaks and doing it 8 hours every day, non stop will be able to get the title in about 7 years.
Though tbh, if you get that title, I somehow think the accomplishment will be tainted with the realization you just gave up a decade of your life fighting for or against computerized cows.
However, just last July of 2014 (not quite a year ago) they said: Source
The titles and achievement point values for WvW play are absolutely out of character with the rest of the game and we will be addressing that. What form that will take specifically I am not entirely sure.
Right after they fix the WvW titles to be more reasonable you can expect them to start considering the possibility that the hellfire achievement points may possibly, conceivably, need a fix and put a committee to work on it, eventually.
Or perhaps not.
ANet may give it to you.
Every single major release has added more ways to get AP. Some permanent, some transient. Just counting how many days worth of the 10-point dailies it would take is silly. Especially since the total points you can amass from dailies are capped (at 15k, but still…).
I wonder what your basis for comparison is…”

The Hellfire armor achievments are so blown out of proportion because it was designed so late, it was made to be a goal for people who already had farmed a LOT of AP. Then the new pieces were added as a step up from that to be ahead of what anyone had reached. Bada-bing, bada-boom, you have an inrealistic goal because they wanted to cater to the top 1. (Not 1%, 1.)

There’s more than just doing dailies to get AP
Finishing all the paths in each dungeon gives you AP. Doing each jumping puzzle for the first time to the end of it gives you AP. Collecting armor gets you AP I believe… the collection things (trash collector, crafting certain armor sets, fine wine, etc etc) all give you AP.
Take a look in your hero panel under achievements (very last one on the list). All those menus that open up give you AP goals.

The only way to get this armor set if using GM commands. Shazbot has the full set but he did not get it using the AP method.
Thanks for the replies everyone, I’m aware that it is possible to get AP though other ways than daily stuff
I guess it isn’t worth it to farm AP just for the armour then, thanks.
