Guild Wars 2

I just picked up the game @ my local store, waiting on patching to complete… Can’t wait to get in-game. figured id give a shout out to the community and say i am glad to finally be able to be a part of it.

I probably should have mentioned i have played since GW1. No forum troll will get the best of me. :-) thanks for the welcome, and i’ll be sure to tread lightly on the forum.

Enjoy your levelling. The game is beautiful and I hope you enjoy it.

Here’s a little tip: Watch your surroundings. There are a lot of little details and things you wouldn’t see if you just ran from heart to heart. My favorite so far is translating signs in the world – there’s a cipher for New Krytan, the written language in Guild Wars 2. There’s some really funny stuff hidden in the game.

Welcome. As the others have said, don’t let a few Negative Nancys discourage you. The gameworld is beautiful, the music is beautiful…you can even create a beautiful Charr character if you’ve a mind. The sky’s the limit (because it’s full of angry dragons!).

Welcome aboard. The game is fantastic, the community is fantastic. It has a very loyal fanbase, mostly of those that did not come from WoW or a WoW-clone. I myself came from WoW, amongst many other MMOs, but I am here to stay until Arenanet finally shoots themself in the foot.
