Hello all, new build available in 3 HOURS
Its a 3 hour warning if you are in a dungeon, story mission or instance. In the open world its only 1 hour or less. If you are in a dungeon and get the 3 hour warning and then finish and leave, then you are on the regular reset time.
Dragonbrand
is there? a new build in 3 hrs? or is this a rant?
“it doesn’t make you spend hours preparing to have fun, rather than having fun”
Guild missions say otherwise.

I was doing COE, just picked up reward from last boss.
Boom! server reset… -_-
I don’t see how that counts as 3 hours or 1 hours or even 30 min
and this is not the first time they do this, sometime i just wandering around gathering, “…new build in 1 hour….” 5 minutes later, the server reset, i mean wtf.

you tell me, but you get my point here.

I’m still at work, which is why I’m curious and am asking you. That said, additions to the gw2db excite me more than actual game updates these days, at least gw2db isn’t plagued with glitches and bugs.

the 3 hour timer is to finish the dungeon( more then enough time)
the moment you leave dungeon aka you have the reward you get auto kicked for the new build wich already happend
i really don’t see your problem
They give you three hours in instances, giving you enough time to finish them, whereas everyone else in the game gets 3 mins.
You finished the dungeon, picked up the reward, so you’d have had to patch before rejoining pve to put you on the same build as everyone else.
You got to finish the dungeon and pick up your reward, whats the problem?
I got one of these the other day, but it was for 15 seconds. I could have done with a few more to get to safety.
3 situations:
1) You are exploring persistant PvE map = 3 minutes before forced reset to apply new build.
2) You are in an instance (ie Dungeon) = 3 hours before forced reset to apply new build.
3) You use a waypoint/leave an instance or similar = instant client reset to apply new patch.
what is the new build??
I’ve had this while in my personal story doing quests. I think it gives one hour to complete those. I was able to finish all the quest steps, and then it kicked me to download the new patch.
Seems to be working well as far as I can tell.

New builds and updates are usually first updated on this page. If they aren’t, it was just for routine maintenance only.
I like those warnings, gives plenty of time to do everything beforehand.
I was doing TA with guildies and feared the immediate reset. However we were pretty much done, and as soon we finished and started leaving the instances we were all hit with the immediate patch-up.
So my guess is they learnt from the mistakes and now put people in a dungeon on a special queue so they don’t lose progress. Kinda nice of them.
Yea, I like how awesome they are with introducing new builds. Since everything is instanced, servers can continuously run both the old and new build for players switching between zones depending on their importance.

it seems most people don’t understand this, especially 3).
We got this in Arah explore while fighting Lup and were able to finish the dungeon and loot then patch with no issue at all. One of the best things ANet has put in
