Returning player, haven’t played in about a year and a half.

Dungeon/fractal groups are unfriendly to players who don’t understand how to speed run/skip all the mobs and burn bosses. Everyone seems like an elitist.

World content is uhhh boring to me. Plus I don’t feel like Im progressing my character no matter how much of it I do.

WvW is fun…ish but only peaks at certain times of the day.

sPvP is frustrating to me. I like to play support builds, but everyone just runs off doing their own thing while I try to play catch up and get burst down.

Is there anything else I haven’t tried yet?

Addressing this part of your post only. Start your own LFG, “All welcome” , “First time” , “No speed run”, “Just for fun.” etc. They will fill up quickly as there are thousands of players like you looking for the same thing.

It isn’t against the rules to start your own dungeon/fractal LFG based on what you are looking for and you should not be afraid to do so. You will be pleasantly surprised. Some of my favorite dungeon runs where from parties formed from positing, “All welcome.”

The first thing you probably haven’t tried is making dungeon groups of your own, but listing them as causal groups, all professions welcome. Or say new player looking for a group of people who aren’t in a rush. That will get you dungeon groups relatively quickly.

Have you tried joining a guild? Then you’d be playing with guildies and you’d be not only less likely to be kicked from parties, but also you’d be eligible for guild missions which is another type of content.

Finally, most of the content in this game can be boring without some sort of goal attached to it. You can easily wander around the world leveling, but getting the end game items requires more careful management of where you are and what you do. Let’s also not forget achievements and collections.

The best thing to do though, is identify your play style and join a like minded guild.

One other thing, the newer zones like Dry Top and Silverwastes are quite different from zones before them and offer more meta, zone wide rewards for completing that content. Also I’m not sure if you’ve followed the world boss train at all.

The real answer still goes back to finding the right guild though, because doing this stuff with friends is much more fun than running around alone…at least for most people.

I’m also a fan of the ’no speedrun’ tag on lfg’s and put it on all mine. Only last night we were two short for AC p1 so pugged. Two people joined and we did it the old fashioned way without stacking either.

At the end of the run both players hung around to say how much they enjoyed it as they’ve not done it that way before.

Plenty of people have grown to dislike the elitist speedrunning stackers who demand your build is X and you press button 1 now then button 3 etc, all while standing exactly here.

Let those people do it their way and let the rest of us enjoy the journey with the end chest being a bonus.

Remember

“Journey is the goal” Mike O’Brien said January 26th.

Community is great, avoid elitists who only think of rewards. You don’t have to be the best to have a good fun.

I am and will always be: Looking for people who like to take their time in dungeons and enjoy the experience.

I don’t even want people running zerk meta to come. Let’s go in with paper bags on and see what happens. :S

I’ve been getting into skin collecting lately. I never used to be that type of player. But now I like a theme and a look for each of my characters and am very particular about it. There are A LOT of skins to grind for. Like thousands of hours worth probably. I’ve played 800 and barely scratched it.

To start I recommend getting the bioluminescent armor from silverwastes. Its fun, you get gold while doing it, and takes quite awhile. You also get a free ascended chest piece.

Also don’t automatically wave off gems. Saving up gold to convert to gems isn’t as hard as I thought it’d be. (to get that one cosmetic that completes your look)

PS I also recommend you get each class, or nearly each class to 80. It took me 7 tries (professions) to find my main. What I thought I liked wasn’t… I also thought I didn’t like PvP but now I love it once I figured it out…

Try a tequatl fight, he’s different now! Edge of the Mists is a new wvw map you can try and is (usually) decent for leveling.

As others have said, make your own dungeon lfg or join one that says all welcome. Stay away from the speed clears until you know their strategy.
