Help for returning player
So I haven’t played for about 2 years. I saw the expansion costs 50$ and now the base game is free to play. If I don’t buy the expansion, am I downgraded to a f2p player? Do I need to buy it to access vanilla content now? Do I get anything at all for having been an original adopter of the game?
In order:
- No. You’re still a paid-for player with all the rights and privileges therein.
- Nope. You own the core game. You get the core stuff still.
- There was a chance at a refund for your purchase of the core game, but that seems to have passed: https://www.guildwars2.com/en/news/pre-purchase-community-address/ I think they might still have the extra character slot available? No idea.

If you had game for over 2 years you were never eligable to a refund anyway and you will still get a character slot if you buy and apply code before friday 23d oct
