Help me understand/appreciate Blind
It’s generally pretty weak and unreliable outside of blind fields that spam it.
Single application of blinds are usually pretty weak because like you said, auto attacks, and it only affects one HIT and not a whole attack, like channeled attacks.
You could always get lucky with it though, and it could always snag an important CC, and of course can be useful for stomping.
I think that’s something that sort of annoys me about this game sometimes, clutch things such as blind/dodging/CC usually come down to luck as it’s too difficult to reliably stop certain hits, either it’s too hard to see, or too fast/unpredictable, and you usually just blind/dodge and hope you avoid whatever it is you were hoping to avoid.
Of course this is mainly PvP I’m talking about.
I just don’t get it…
It’s very useful in PvE if you learn to identify attack emotes by tough enemies. Big attack coming? Blind = miss. Even for less powerful enemies, it’s one less attack that will be hitting you; that’s helpful when combined with other forms of mitigation.

Bull’s charge = miss
All big 1 hit strikes = miss
As GreyWraith.8394 said, but not just in PvE, in any situation that you can recognize a pattern of an attack that will deal a great damage to you, use blind.
Blind is one of the most powerful tools in the game.
Blind is 100% chance to completely avoid the next attack.
It’s like Aegis, except it’s a debuff.
In GW2, having your enemy miss, or you dodging and blocking is ALL active.
There is no passive block/dodge/miss like in some gimmick MMOs, you do it manually so it’s actually like if you were really blocking/dodging/missing that hit.
One of the best features in the game imo: when you learn to stack those debuffs/buffs properly and timely, the playstyle becomes a real addiction.
