Help on Golden title
At that level you can always sell all your materials you get from gathering. Some of the mid level ones go for a few silver and it adds up. At 65 there are world bosses for rares you can salvage for ectos and at 80 there are dungeons with are at least 1 gold a path.
see what prices are on the tp aka trading post for rares an other exotic drops.. next farm to your hearts content! do some pvp or wvw or guild events! best things i can say is get lost bandit loot chests out in silverwaste also once u reach the level 80.. then you have your golden title an gl on leveleing
There’s no need to rush to get that title. As long as you’re smart, you can easily get up to that amount by the time you reach 80 (assuming you actually do money-making things, such as killing mobs that drop things, doing dungeons when you can, salvaging level 68 and higher rares/exotics for ectos, and saving mats to sell when you need the gold).
Only level 35 and already asking for the Golden title?^^
Just keep on playing, like simplesimon said, there’ll be more content to get gold once you level up. Aside from dungeons and world bosses, there’s farming in maps like Dry Top and Silverwastes (lots of champ bags there), or Edge of the Mists (bonus because in EotM, you level up pretty fast if you follow a farm train around).
My personal farming tips would be rich metal veins, preferably iron and platinum. They yield 12-16 (iron) and 10 (platinum) ore respectively, each of which gets you well over one silver on the trading post. They are in fixed locations, and there are maps to find them. For your level, there are a few in Brisban Wildlands, Snowden Drifts, Diessa Plateau and Harathi Hinterlands, off the top of my head. You can find the maps here.
If it’s any consolation, it took me well over a year to get that kitten title I play a lot, but rather casual, I don’t do a lot of farming compared to others, and I managed to build a solid base of several hundred gold to work with, and that’s with my tendency to fall in love with the most expensive weapons and skins^^

Well, I’m level 40 now ^.^
Thanks everyone! I’m currently at 24 gold
If you want that title so badly then you can ask a guildmate to lend you 200g for 30 sec then just mail it back to him/her.
But if you want to do it the legal way then just do all 3 paths of AC each day – you only need level 35 for it. You will level up due to it too as finishing a path earns you 70% exp to next level. Also you will earn tokens for which you will be able to buy exotic gear once you hit level 80. But you probably need to go on guild runs then as most pug runs don’t accept players that are not level 80 already.
Spend 20$ on gems and get gold.
20 bucks might be 5- 10 mins work in the real real world, so 10/20/30+ hours of brain dead farming for 20 bucks worth of gems? No thanks.
Buy gems with real money. Trade gems for gold.

What are you doing where you make $120-240/h?

Good question! I had a very nice over $70K salary but unless my math is way off that comes to under 40 bucks an hour, gross not take-home. Still left plenty of spare twenties for whim purchases though
I still don’t like just buying gold. I’ve done it for small amounts so as to get some things on the TP I wanted (skins, dyes), but my gem purchases generally go to gem store items.
I got Golden early on thanks to a guildie doing that 5 second loan trick, because the title fit my RP far too well and I really wanted it and had I done it the regular way, it likely would have been over a year. I’m not a gold-making machine in MMOs

What’s AC? I’d rather actually work to get the 200 gold though
salvage all gear drops and sell mats, and make sure to do your daily ascalonian catacombs paths for 5g/day

What type of Salvage do you recommend? I’ve been using Basic for everything and I’m wondering when I should advance to the more expensive kits

Other than rares and exotics, Basic salvage kits are just fine. Rares and Exotics, though, I believe you want at least master’s kits to improve your chances of getting Ectoplasm. Not certian kit quality actually affects ectos, but on rares and exotics, you also need to consider the value of the sigil/rune. Rare runes/sigils sell for about 3.5-4.5 silver on the TP. Superior runes/sigils range anywhere from 2.16 silver (merch at this price) to 15 gold.
When salvaging exotic gear. I would always go with the higher tier ones. e.g. Mystic salvage kit / master salvage kit.
I would only use the black lion salvage kit if you want to get a sigil or rune out of a curtain gear piece. Runes / sigils which can be sold at the tp at high prices – otherwise it isn’t worth it, using this particular salvage kit.

The normal advice is that only white, yellow, and orange salvage kits are actually useful for salvaging. Use orange kits to retrieve any really valuable upgrades you see, yellow kits on level 65+ rare and exotic gear to yield globs of ectoplasm, and white salvage kits on everything else.
There are often multiple salvage kits with the same colour:
- White: Basic Salvage Kit (vendor), Copper-Fed Salvage-O-Matic (gem store, infinite use, consumes coin on use)
- Yellow: Master Salvage Kit (vendors), Mystic Salvage Kit (combine Mystic Forge Stones with one each of an Apprentice, Journeyman, and Master salvage kit to make a 250-use yellow salvage kit.), Silver-Fed Salvage-O-Matic (gem store, infinite use consumes coin on use)
- Orange: Black Lion Salvage Kit (daily log-in rewards or gem store).
